Gate Restaurant
After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit sceptical when going to Gate. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, the waiter spoke English and the overall experience was above my expectations. Absolutely deserved 5 stars, will be coming back for sure :)

Always ask if the credit card machine works. One day it worked, the other day it didn't. If you don't pay in CZ the exchange rate is very bad. The food is fine. The wait staff aren't very good at English even though the restaurant is near the Hilton. Long waits sometimes with you being ignored while waiting.

The food was delicious, very well prepared, clearly with fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly and spoke English without a problem.

Good modern interior, but poor service. Waiting for 3 dishes took 30 minutes, beer which is called Řezané was just dark beer. Waiters were not friendly, just doing their job

The food here is quite good. The salads and meat are very good and the czech food is fine.The waitresess are nice and kind. And speak english. Good place to come.The tram and trains in general are a bit noisy but is not the restaurant's fault of course!

Great food, worst service I've experienced in my entire life. Waiters were unfriendly and unattentive. Waited 20 minutes just for someone to make eye contact with us. Easily 20 minutes between sitting down and getting a menu, 20 minutes more to take the order, 20 minutes more to even bring the drinks. Got my friend's drink order wrong, she pointed it out, then 20 minutes later pointed it out again, then 10 minutes later again, and finally the correct drink arrived. If they don't want to serve tourists then just say so. I'd love to go back to Prague but I would never return to this restaurant.

Great dinner here, with some lovely B52 drinks to end. The service here was nice, but maybe a little slow. The food was tasty and the beer delicious, as well as the cocktails. It serves a range of cuisines, from traditional Czech to Mexican to Italian. Overall, I would recommend for a nice dinner.

Recommend by Viking staff of Hilton hotel!5 minutes walk from Hilton which gave us the option from the over priced Hilton food!The food is great here, and the place is even better!My wife and I had a dish for each of us plus one 500cc beer for about $30 USD.We have couple more night here in Prague, so we will come back again to try something else!

Atmosphere is good, but i didn't like my food so much. It was not too bad, but not great, risotto was undercooked and no flavor. Other people in my group liked their food, but i was not big fan of mine.
