Pivovarské Muzeum U Fleků

Very old brewery in Prague that uses traditional method of brewing their delicious dark beer. The host invited us into the basement and explained to our group the method of brewing their beer and the long history from the 1400s. While he talked there was a video shown on the wall to assist his presentation. During this time we sat at the table and each of us had a large glass of beer to sample. Lucky for me my travel companion does not drink beer, so extra for me!After the presentation we toured the brewery rooms. They were so interesting! Beautiful brass fixtures and containers. Old rafters with flowers painted on them. Very pretty! Then it was off to have dinner.Dinner was held in a beautiful old room that looked like a chapel with beautiful arched widows. The food was great and the atmosphere was too. The serving staff were excellent and made us feel happy.There is a gift shop with lots of lovely souvenirs and beer available to purchase as well. I bought the beer. I would highly recommend visiting this historical brewery.

The beer here is not extraordinary.You can get better beer at any other brewery in the Czech Republic.The service is slow, and they still ask for a tip at the end. It's a typical tourist trap.

While it is a little bit a tourist trap it is still well worth a visit.

Authentic hidden gem. Good food, beer and just relaxing atmosphere

Terrible service. Arrogant waiters. Officially open till 11 PM. I came in at 10:40 PM asking for one quick beer. The waiter arrogantly asked me: “Do you see anybody in? Look left, look right, nobody in. See?”. Do not visit U Fleků if you expect basic respect and hospitality.

Well worth a visit..

This stylish Prague old pub becomes a touristic trap. It offers large garden - suitable for big groups. The style is similar to Munich Bavarian bierstube. They offer their own 13 degrees bier, which is not really good - it tastes like soap and it is overpriced. Also the service is not well - you have to wait for one waiter to order drinks, second one to order food and final you have to pay at bar.
