Via Ferrata Děčín Pastýřská Stěna

A great place to spend a whole day climbing. The wall offers 16 routes of various difficulty levels and so it's almost impossible to climb then all up in a day even though the descend takes only about ten minutes.The C-routes might be a bit difficult but still climbable for beginners who have never touched" the rock. There is also a restaurant where you can take a break and an equipment shop/hire. Since 2020

More of a rope park than a classic ferrata. Several difficult and very difficult routes (although there are some easier sections), with a strictly sporty character. The difficulty classification is understated. Some routes require considerable arm strength and climbing skills. The view of the town from the top is nice, but monotonous. Apparently a dozen routes, but after climbing two of them it is already boring. Unless, of course, one enjoys climbing a wall with lightning bolts. There are many more interesting, beautiful and varied ferratas in the world. The Shepherd's Wall is unfortunately only a substitute for what can be experienced in the Alps.

Very great via Ferrata spot! The difficulty levels are comparable to Germany I think - not one difficulty level higher than labeled as you often read about for czech via ferratas. Definitely worth a trip!

Really great place! But I wouldn't say that it's good for every beginner... You cannot to climb to the top with difficulty A or B only - there are mandatory parts with C difficulty and exposition so it may be too challenging anyway. It's always a good idea to test yourself starting from a littlebit lower level :)

Variety of paths with multiple difficulty-levels. There is a store close to the wall where you can borrow all necessary equipment. Great view of the city from the top.
