NUMARU

Visit on Friday evening (09/06/2023).Food is quite decent and most likely it would deserve 4 stars if it wasn't for abysmal service.We had to wait for almost 10 minutes for waiter to even notice us. Then we had to ask him to bring us a menu. Please give your waiter at least basic training.We received the food after almost 30 minutes of waiting. Then the chef comes out of the kitchen to pick up something from the storage room and just casually grabs my plates and re-arranges them with a smile saying on his face saying that they are not arranged correctly. If the chef feels the need to point out how the food should be eaten (which is completely fine) it should be done in with some manners and not just rush to the customers table.Restaurant has a lot of potential and I like the food concept but the service as of right now is terrible.P.S. You should improve the quality of your milkshakes when you charge almost 4€.

I visited Numaru yesterday - Thursday evening with my friend to try this new restaurant out, because we have tried Pocha and Prahagogi before.The waitress has absolutely no clue about her job, doesn’t know how to arrange the cutlery, or doesn’t know how to recommend or saying anything about the food and the menu. Everything that she did was taking so long for example we waited a long time for her to come to us, to ask her to bring us a drinks menu - then she left to ask her boss (i guess) and returned and said they don’t have drinks menu (even though we were the only customers in the restaurant). Then she said they serve normal soft drinks from breakfast such as cola fanta sprite water coffee and tea, some lemonades as well.So my friend ordered lemon lemonade and I chose safer option which is sparkling water. It took the waitress 20’ until she brought us the drinks.The lemonade was just lemon with soda in the messy looking glass (as if she juice the lemon with that glass, and pour the soda into it). So that’s maybe why the lemonade tasted bitter and sour.After that the starter or they call it tapas came, we ordered creamy teokbokki, kimchi pancakes, and fried rice balls with cheese. The teokbokki tasted like some instant teokbokki package that is normally sell in the store - very salty. The fried rice balls was tasteless…so we have to dip in the teokbokki sauce, to elevate the taste. Kimchi pancake was crunchy but also tasteless.After the starters we ordered some budae jiggae rice and dak ganjang gui rice. Everything was tasteless, the chicken was dry. Numaru is supposed to be fusion modern Korean restaurant and all i had was korean food with less taste,spicy, and salt. Nothing fusion about that.The food presentation looked the same as we saw on their IG. I think they put a lot of work on marketing and PR instead of the quality of the food and service.Me and my friend, we are so disappointed of yesterday’s visit.

I recommend the domi sotbap! So good!
