3 PM afternoon, most tables free outside and empty inside, yet being told to reserve a week in advance. That was rather disappointing.3 years later, same thing. Need a reservation one week ahead :(

I visited this place based on several recommendations from my friends. The meal was delicious, no discussion here. We will come back again for sure, but only once the weather allows sitting outside. This place is not without flaws. First of all it is really small inside, about 30 chairs (and most of the time not all tables will be 100 % utilized). It means you better get a reservation about 1 month in advance. I knew this from my friends, no issue for me, just good to know. Unfortunately due to the size of the place the air ventilation is totally insufficient and the (mostly good) smell from the kitchen is all over the place... So after returning home we put all our clothes into the washing machine as there was no other option. Last point is you better have a soup or another appretizer as waiting for the main course can be quite long. Of course depending on what you order, but we waited for about 1 hour. Again I knew it and we enjoyed delicious cheese croquetes which I recommend. Without having something small first, waiting for the main dish for one hours would be quite painful. So once it is possible to sit at the great looking terrace we are sure to come back, but I'm not keen on sitting inside due to the ventilation issue. For the staff we only talked to the old waiter and he was nice, no complaints here. I believe in the sunny days this might be 5 star experience :-)

This is a hidden gem, in a little known town on the Vltava. The food is fantastic and very authentic. Definitely will return at another time in the year or if passing by. It is even worth the drive out of Prague to visit.

Apparently you won’t get a table if you come without reservation on weekend. Would be good for them to have 1-2 tables for drop in but, well, I had to read reviews in advance. Zero attention to customers. Won’t come back.

First visit, we were told off because we hadn’t made a reservation. Not angry because the space is small and it’s reasonable. So second visit we reserved a table 2 days in advance.The service was absolutely friendly and nice. The menu offers a wide range of choices from meat, veg, seafood but only in Czech so my wife had to google translate it. We knew the mains will take a while to prepare so we have ordered 3 starters to kill the time. Everything turned out very nice especially the grilled squid filled with Feta, we just loved it. We have asked for extra onion, asked for extra vinegar for the salad, and the waiter was patient as ever. So the result: gladly spent an hour and a half with starters/mains/beer & wine/sweet/coffee, and we walked out with contented heart and belly.Planning to come back for more visits especially with other friends.

Hi,We were going to have a lunch there for mine and Grandpa's birthday. We already visited this restaurant for couple of times, always made a reservation and were fully satisfied. Today huge disappointment... We arrived at 11:53 and started raining cats and dogs. We asked the staff that was smoking in front of the restaurant that if we could just hide under the umbrella outside not to be wet in summer cloathes... They literally said we open at 12 and we don't even care" about the rain and we getting wet... We were literally begging to hide under the umbrella and that we will gladly wait for the opening hours at 12. They refused and even laughted. This situation is joke and would not expected it from high reputated restaurant like this.No offense
