This *cough-dungeon-cough* basement is very central and unassuming. The restaurant, however, serves delicious, authentic Czech food. Mostly focused on meat, but don't be shy and try their cheeses. I can wholeheartedly recommend their goulash, go ahead, and pair it with a pilsner. I will be back here every time I come to this city. The staff was super nice, friendly and helpful and the prices were very reasonable. Try to make a reservation ahead or you might miss out!

A charming and quaint underground restaurant with amazing food! We had the Prague ham as an appetizer, the goulash, and the roasted duck. We got two beers and the house wine. All of the food was amazing and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It felt like we were transported to a fairytale land!

This place is so comforting. The food & atmosphere is fantastic. Be sure to try the garlic soup which is full of flavour. Book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.

One of the vegetarian options as you can see is dessert, we thought it would be savory blueberry dumplings but it's just sweet. My goulash only had 4 pieces of beef. The waiter was very courteous so no complaints there.

3.5/5 tops these reviews are overrated, trust me. Basement brick atmosphere is solid but steep stairs limit mobility disability patrons. Portions decent and prices okay but service minimal and mediocre at best. My duck was dry and my wife's salad presentation lackluster (1/3 the plate empty)...although her cabbage soup was good. They were able to seat us on a Sat w/no res but we arrived early. I would try other local fare restaurants before coming here/back.

We almost didn’t go into this place. It doesn’t look very attractive from the outside but the food is amazing! We had grilled prague ham for entree. For the main we had schnitzel and beef goulash. The schnitzel was cooked to prefection! You have to try. It’s crispy and golden outside and juicy inside. We love the Prague ham too with honey mustard and pickle!

During a walk in Prague it suddenly started to rain very hard. Luckily we stumbled upon this restaurant. Because we were a bit hungry as well, we went inside the restaurant to eat a bit and take shelter for the rain. We tried some typical Czech soup with bread and a refreshing homemade ice tea. Although the staff was not very friendly, the good food made up for it and it turned out to be a nice authentic experience of the Czech kitchen.

We loved this place! It was recommended to us in advance but we didn't have reservations but the time we came. They were kind enough to offer a table in the outer room (not where the show was taking place for obvios reasons), but despite that we enjoyed ourselves with such amazing food and ambience. Totally recommended!
