Most a zdymadlo Roudnice nad Labem

Silniční obloukový most byl postaven v letech 1906-1910. Stojí na místě středověkého kamenného mostu biskupa Jana z Dražic - po Juditině a píseckém mostě třetím nejstarším kamenným mostem v Čechách a prvním přes řeku Labe (dokončen v říjnu 1340). Po necelých třech stovkách let byl pobořen švédskými vojsky. K zahájení stavby nového mostu došlo až v červenci 1906 a ukončena byla až po 4 letech. Most měří od počátku rampy až na konec silničního náspu 1 135 metrů, přičemž železná konstrukce od Českomoravské strojírny má 370 metrů. Generální projekt mostu se zdymadlem vypracovala technická kancelář komise pro kanalizování Vltavy a Labe, řízená vrchním stavebním radou Václavem Rubínem. Stavební správě předsedal Ing. Břetislav Tolman. Dvojici opěrných zdí zaříznutých do svahu navrhl architekt František Sander. Most byl slavnostně zprovozněn 2. října 1910. Při povodních v roce 2002 byl jedinou silniční spojnicí obou břehů Labe v celém kraji.The road arch bridge was built between 1906-1910. It stands on the site of the medieval stone bridge of Bishop Jan of Dražice - the third oldest stone bridge in Bohemia after the Judith Bridge in Prague and the Písek Bridge and the first over the Elbe River (completed in October 1340). After less than three hundred years it was destroyed by Swedish troops. Construction of the new bridge did not begin until July 1906 and was not completed until 4 years later. The bridge measures 1,135 metres from the beginning of the ramp to the end of the road embankment, while the iron structure from Českomoravská Engineering Works is 370 metres long. The general design of the bridge with the lock was prepared by the technical office of the Vltava and Elbe Sewerage Commission, headed by Václav Rubín, the chief building councillor. The construction administration was chaired by Ing. Břetislav Tolman. The pair of retaining walls cut into the slope were designed by architect František Sander. The bridge was inaugurated on 2 October 1910. During the floods in 2002 it was the only road link between the two banks of the Elbe in the whole region.
