If you don’t want to subject yourself to complete sadness for the lives lost this is not for you. I went on a weekend after avoiding it all my life. It is an overwhelming experience but I booked a guided tour and met interesting people along the way. These are the only pics I took and did not feel right taking more. Definitely something that needs to be seen although it breaks my heart

It would have been better if we had a guide. Was confused on where starting point was from where we parked. Signs would have helped. Be prepared to do a lot of waking. The museums are outstanding!

There was a school group visiting at same time . Visited with our Viking River tour group so arrangements made prior to visit . Our Viking guide took us inside and explained some of the displays and then we were on our own to explore . The display of luggage , belongings taken from those , children , adults and the letters, poems , drawings found and displayed , one can spend hours reading . There is also a movie to watch that was part used for propaganda during WWII. Amazing the area is now occupied by residents who want to live in the memory.

The contrast between here and Austwich is just worlds apart. Here they looked as if they had a chance of survival, sadly that's not the case. If you love history about the displacement of the Jews in ww2 then go here and also visit the ghetto.Book it early and get a guide, make sure you spend the 4 hrs you get here taking in everything from the fake bathrooms to the accommodation block.

I had booked an english tour for the visit. The lady went into details of each room we visited. The whole surface to cover took about 1h and a half. It is worth the visit and would recommend to book a guide as there isn’t much information written.

It feels disrespectful giving 5 stars to a Concentration Camp.I visited this camp after visiting Auschwitz/Birkenau Camps to honor the victims of the Holocaust as best as one can so many years later. It's a sobering experience to visit any place like this or others.Terezin Camp was very different from the others as it was a camp where propaganda films were made in order to trick" the public and higher war authorities.The memorials are big and bold and beautiful but cannot outshine the dark history they represent.There's a small village nearby which seemed nearly deserted and added to the overall tone of our outing.For purposes of honoring

A full day, (in 5 hours) although very sobering. The camp is extremely well preserved and authentic. The guide was well spoken, easily understandable and clearly had a vast knowledge of the subject. Admittedly, I’m pretty lazy…This tour does have a significant amount of walking. Although it says “wheelchair accessible” I wouldn’t do it.Sophie/Sophia was an excellent tour manager. Very well-informed and anxious to help with information regarding the city and country along the way. Well worth the money.

A sad reminder of past war atrocities. Many of the top European artists, scientists and musicians ended their lives in this fortress town. Still now a town but with a sad past. The Ghetto museum is your first stopping point. Then taking the map follow the footsteps to the barracks and crematorium. Crossing the river is the little fortress where the torture of resistance fighter took place.

Mind blowing and if you have not been to a concentration camp it is worth visiting one, atleast once in your life. Very sobering experience.
