Been here twice now and the food is amazing and the portions have always been large. When you look from outside it doesn’t look attractive, but do as I do and don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Staff are friendly and speak multiple languages. A little gem.

Absolutely delicious. Great Czech food and very fair prices.I recommend Duck pate as as starterSvickova and Ghoulash. Pleasant and attentive service, also!

Great restaurant with local cuisine. Outside seating is available. Barbora was the best host we had in Prague, very helpful and speaking great English. We had roasted duck with red cabbage and enjoyed it very much. I recommend this restaurant

Had the free range duck and the goulash. The reviews don’t lie. The food was great. The wait staff was welcoming. The price was very fair. The portions were more than ample. Honestly, I couldn’t have hoped for better.

I wandered through New Town on foot looking for the right Czech/Prague experience and food. Stumbled upon Matylda. I walked down the stone stairs into a cozy, small spot where I was given the choice of where I wanted to sit. I chose the salmon tartare and toast to start- fabulous. Then I asked the waiter what he recommended for the main course. He said, “You are a big man. You should have the free range duck with red cabbage and homemade dumplings.” How could I resist? The duck was perfection! I finished with the Belgian chocolate and cherry sauce. It wasn’t as special, but still very good. Highly recommend!

We dined with our family while sightseeing in Prague. Communication in English was possible and we had good food and a happy time. The food was good and the restaurant was clean. Considering the price and taste, I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Good Atmosphere and easily one of the best Gulasch I have ever tasted. Also the staff is very professional and friendly. I'll definitely visit, when I am in Prague again. Must try!!

Nothing amazing. When we got there we were given the option of where we wanted to sit which was nice. The food was good enough but nothing special. We had fried chicken with boiled potatoes which was fine as its quite a simple meal. We also had their goulash which was nice but I was put off by the fact that the sauce was hot and the beef was barely warm, probably because it had been microwaved. The drinks were cheap but the selection could have been bigger. Price was very reasonable and the portions were big. Dessert was a let down as it lacked flavour and was just boring. Waiter was nice enough but had limited English skills. We got two sides, mash potato and bread with dip both of which were up to standard but again nothing special.
