Delicious, authentic Czech food. Self service with friendly staff at the counter. 10/10 would recommend to anyone interested in avoiding tourist traps and trying out authentic, affordable Czech cuisine.

Great place to try out delicious but highly affordable Czech dishes! The place is a canteen-type eatery, so it’s best not to expect a restaurant ambiance. However, the service is highly efficient and friendly, and they have a menu in both English and Russian. The meals are traditional, hearty, and can be had for a really affordable price. The place is located in the basement of a shopping arcade but there are clearly-marked signs pointing to the eatery. Note: they only accept cash. Highly recommended!

Came at the recommendation from the Honest Guide. It is easy to locate the restaurant, there are signage at the building leading to the basement.I ordered a pork Goulash at 139KC. It was very affordable and it was a hearty meal. Nothing fanciful but at least it’s not a tourist trap! There is an English menu at the corner too.

Cheap local canteen with solid Czech food like svickova and goulash. Don’t expect much but there is good portions, good beer, and great prices on too of being away from touristic spots. Thanks to Honest Guide on YT for this recommendation!

Great value! We had a roast pork with dumplings and a pork goulash with dumplings for a low price. Both were good.

Self service restaurant which offers great value for money. The food is authentic Czech and very good. It is more than affordable and drinks are also cheap. Better than any fast-food chain.

The authentic Czech dining experience. Highly affordable and tasty food. Snuggled underground hidden from plain sight, this cafeteria gives off an atmosphere unique to other places, in a good way.I had the svíčková, hovězí, knedlík (beef sirloin served with sour cream and bread dumplings) which costed me 129 Kč (around €5) and I was filled.The staff didn't speak much English, but English menu is available. I also got a little assistance from a couple of the customers which was very considerate of them.

We were so impressed by this place. Recommended by Honza and Janek from Honest Guide on YouTube as a place for affordable and traditional Czech food. It’s a worker’s cafeteria that was crowded on the weekend with many locals. We had the roast pork and the pork goulash, and ordered the cabbage soup as an afterthought to finish off our bread.

The portion of the food and the price really are worth it, the taste is also good regarding the price. I would recommend it if you are in Prag because many locals go there to eat. It is a good experience.
