Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa

Alchymist is not what it used to be anymore . Disappointing service especially down in SPA where nothing seemed to work incl main pool yacuzi and steam sauna - out of order during holiday season?! No water for refreshment after the sauna , no towels nor blankets , no music and many other little details which make you feel good. One had to call the reception many times to get what in previous times until 2020 was a golden standard. You get the impression the hotel management tries to save money everywhere they can but sometimes little details do not cost a lot and make the entire experience very different.

I did not stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms but I had an excellent breakfast, followed by a great massage and some time in the spa. The hotel is beautiful, staff is very kind and the spa is extraordinary. I can honestly say their wellness area is the most luxurious in Prague. Also, their gift vouchers are much better value than in the other Prague 5* hotels.

Centrally located west of the Charles Bridge and close to the Prague Castle. Because it's next to the US embassy and there there are police guarding 24 hours and car traffic is restricted; you are guaranteed a blissful sleep in the evening despite being centrally located. Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold options, with fresh and different pastries daily.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but used the spa facilities. Very cozy, though the steam bath was broken. We used the sauna and pool; relaxing.

Beautiful with great staff and wonderful spa. Perfect for our first time to Prague.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Alchymist. It is a luxurious hotel set in a quiet and convenient location set away from the more boisterous tourist areas. Our room was stunning and the service was excellent.

Excellent service! They made sure our stay was memorable, with complementary chocolates and good tourist advice! The spa section was cozy for couples, and the Turkish bath was especially nice!Breakfast buffet was good, and the restaurant had a good selection of national dishes.Location was very good with regards to tourist activities.Will stay there again

What a magical place! If you want to stay in a hotel with a soul and have a special atmosphere this is the place.Amazing beautiful historical building and rooms. Lots of space to wonder around. Location is fantastic, less then 8 min from Charles bridge but nicely uphill from too touristy. As it’s close to embassies it feels extra safe. The walk up and you are at the castle.The staff is super friendly and helpful. We booked a suite and it was amazing. I found it really has everything you needThe spa is really special too, it’s under the ground but again magical setting. Pool is small but they have steam and sauna and nice massage.We could not ask for anything else
