Retro Riverside Wellness Resort Karlovy Vary by Axxos Hotels

The rooms were beautiful! The whirlpool, saunas, and steam rooms were all perfect! And the food was great too. Only thing that left something to be desired was the full body massage but I know that can vary by personal preference. All in all, excelent weekend.

The hotel is amazing. Perfect location on the water, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The staff are lovely and attentive (thank you, George being such a good host and to Metin for his perfect service in the restaurant) and the spa is heavenly. Highly recommend staying here. Very close to Karlovy Vary and easy to get to.

We came early to our table reservation but were seated emidiately, the staff is super friendly and knows their wines that fit to different dishes. We enjoyed, the peace during dinner and yet if you needed anything there was somebody there promtly. The food was 5 star, absolutely delicious in perfect portions in a nice display. Also loved the ambiance and the building itself. Would recommend and come again.

This hotel is stunning and perfectly located just outside the centre of Karlovy Vary. The team running and servicing the hotel make you feel like you're coming home each time you visit. Throughout my travels across Western Europe, this hotel is number one.

Hotel and room beautiful. Staff was helpful. Service was good.Save your money and look elsewhere. Lots of great loud road noise around lake and road right by hotel. Especially busy on Sunday. Semi trucks too! Constant traffic. Balcony nice but noisy with lots of cob webs.Guests dogs allowed to walk around restaurant which was quite surprising while trying to enjoy meal.Don’t order the steak - very grizzly and tough. Rest of meal was okay. No room service menus or menu in roomDefinitely look at pillow menu - very hard beds. Pillows not great either.No air conditioner - was hot and too much road noise to open windows.Only one masseur and he was off the day we wanted service. Didn’t mention it when we checked in or we would have ordered services for that evening. Would have been nice to know in advance. We would not have wasted the $$ coming there from Prague. Not a wellness if you can’t get services! Hot tub was like warm at best and pool was cold. No attendant to help in spa area.Ripped off by taxi driver at train station. 905 kr should have been 225. Didn’t know better at the time. Order yourself. Shady rip off artists!! Hotel should be more helpful with transportation.Requested special occasion info - we supplied it was a birthday celebration. Never mentioned or recognized. Big disappointment.

My aunt and I recently stayed at the Retro Riverside Wellness Resort to break up a longer trip to visit family in Germany and Czechia (still getting used to that). I'd been here twice before, and under the management of Jiri, my expectations for a restful and pampering stay were actually exceeded! (I only hope you were able to sort the Wifi issue.) I have been longing for the wellness area (we just don't do these well in the US) - spotless and sublime. The dining was amazing. Simply put: if you want to be pampered to a relaxing spa break in gorgeous natural surroundings, I cannot recommend the Retro Riverside more highly! LOVE IT!The room was beautiful - love the balcony!

Awesome hotel at a reasonable price. The Spa is nice and the room was very big and comfy. I loved the balcony with views to the river. The breakfast is included and it is very good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Really loved the place. Due to the location, the were a lot of spiders on the exterior of the building, but inside was spotless.

Wow! The Hotel was amazing and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was absolutely friendly, helpful and very courteous. Our room was perfectly clean, modern and comfy. We had a room with river view and we loved it. It's very quiet and peaceful here. The restaurant is very good, we were here for breakfast and dinner. The eggs benedict were perfect! We also recommend the salmon, very fresh and delicious. The Spa was also very good. Everything was very clean, nothing was broken and we had a very relaxing time here. The massage was very good, too. Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back!

This is hands down the best hotel in Karlovy Vary. Hopefully it will open again and we can return to luxury accommodation. We miss you guys.
