Great service. Traditional Czech and Central European food at a reasonable price. A good place to get away from the crowds. The staff speak very good English too. They also have a nice shaded terrace at the front of the restaurant.

This restaurant is definitely off the beaten path for most tourists, although it's easily walked from the center of Prague. The food here is traditional--mostly Czech with some Slovak and Hungarian specials as well. Our meal was excellent; the atmosphere was quiet, cozy and pleasant; and the service was very good. If you like Central European food, you'll enjoy Posezeni U Chiriny. What you find in the center of Prague in the tourist areas is generally not good Czech food. This is! Here's a small neighborhood restaurant in the best sense of the term.

So my two stars are mostly because of the service, because to be fair, the food was nice and the place cozy.We were the last customers to arrive before closing, so the waiter was not happy about that and was kind of rude, but I can understand that. The real problem came when paying the check, the waiter was pushing us to pay him 10% tip, I want to point out that we were going to tip anyways, but he started by saying this is a restaurant you know

The food was really nice, good prices and nice restaurant, tipical Prague food. Definitely I will recommend to try the roast duck. On the other side have a look to your check before paying as they write by hand the total of the bill with what they think you should pay as a tips but it's only recomended not mandatory.

Super nice place, quiet, great food, good prices, great service. Definitely not a tourist trap. The recipes come from Austria-Hungary Empire and the restaurant was established by the personal cook of the 1st President of the Czech Republic.

Nice restaurant, warm and cozy. Good service, food was excellent. Beer and wine very good. Prices reasonable for Prague. Bar area looked very cozy, too bad we didn’t have a drink before dinner.

I wish I had read the reviews below me before I made the decision to go here, because I find service and friendliness extremely important - but I just saw it had an average of 4 and went in. Ended up feeling bad when leaving the restaurant, because the waiter was just rude and unfriendly. Don't go here. Interior had this vibe of being old and out of style, food was not balanced (way too much sauce, too sweet, smelled unpleasant), and the waiter... pff. He answered with very short no" or "yes" when asked something
