Restaurace & Penzion Ve Století

The stuff doesn't speak English, I have found a waiters behaviour quite ignorant to foreigner guests. Meal was good, the restaurant, garden and surrounding areas very nice...

We found that restaurant quite by chance on our way to Karlstejin. They were BBQing that day. We had an excellent steak on the grill, a tasty soup and a delicious creme brulee for dessert. Everything was well cooked, well presented and at moderate prices. Beer was nice, too, but beer is always nice in CR ! :)

We came for the restaurant only. We have been here before. The place is beautiful, mainly when siting outside. Food is OK. Prices are moderate +.We will return there when we will be in their area.

Excellent place to stop and eat before going into Prague Airport. very good food, nice drinks selection, staff very friendly. chill atmosphere with lots of green and shade

The place itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, however the service is very poor, uncaring uninterested staff, as well the menu serves only basic typical Czech cousine with little imagination, mainly meat, not vegetarian friendly and little too no fish options

My girl friend had lunch there and brought me back lunch. Her lunch was okay, but mine was half a portion and was missing the salad(big part of the lunch) over priced, and getting 2 stars bcs of ambiance. We where eating her a few times a year but we where many times not impressed food quality/price ratio wise! Not coming back!

This place was recommended to us by my friend who just heard about it from his friend and so on. Staff very friendly, speaking engl. food excellent quality and all set in gorgeous environment of early 19th century european farm. Even my son who is a picky eater said we must come back here.

Good restaurant food let down by staff.On our visit, 9 people including children, not much to choose from for children (spicy etc). When ordering I asked if the adult portion can be halfed for my two young children. I was told in a rude tone that they obviously do children portions but that they do not put this information on the menu!So, how am I supposed to know that?After only one person finished eating the same waitress came to take his plate and asked him (in a rude tone, again) to pass her the plate!Except this grumpy waitress all other young waiters were nice and the food was good but I go to restaurants not only for good food but friendly service too so won't be in a hurry to go back.

What an excellent find! Perfect on a road trip, for me a stop off on the way to Praha. They are perfectly situated just off the motorway yet with a quiet feel. The restaurant, rooms and bar are spotlessly clean, the food is excellent and the prices are extremely reasonable. Eggs cooked however you want them in the morning for your inclusive breakfast, which can consist of pretty much anything you fancy, which is a major factor for me personally. Free wifi in the bar, resstaurant and rooms and they also have a large, open car park. Not somewhere you would aim to stay for any length of time as there is little to do in the area but perfect as a rest stop. Worth every penny and I highly recommend it! :-)
