I may have been unlucky, but we were there as a group and were offered a group menu. Food was for most parts not tasty. Meat was dry, dessert was like a 2 day dried bread. The ham we got as appetizer was ok and the mash potatoes with the meat was fine. Can’t recommend from this experience.

Good czech food although the waiter service is far from good. Once the bill had been paid, we had realized that they charged us almost 8 euros in czech korona for cutlery.

The food was very good and enjoyable but the waiter decided to turn off the lights at 11 pm and throw a party of 30+ (it was Friday night). Maybe this is how they do business in Czech but to be a foreigner it seems extremely rude and weird.

We loved our stay. The location was great and walkable to all the main attractions. The staff were incredibly accommodating and pleasant. The food at the beer hall was fantastic and reasonably priced. We don’t have a single bad thing to say about our experience.

Ok place. Quite cheap, although both service and few dishes were lacking. Some dishes were absolutely fine, (gulash for example) but one that was listed as full dinner contained just a single, small piece of chicken and rucola leaf. Also, as much as I understand tahat foam takes about 10%-20% of glass, here it was above 50%, with most of the cup filled by it. Overall, still an ok restaurant in a pinch compared to most of those around, which are fairly expensive, but I'd go somewhere else next time.

No, it’s not typical Czech gruffness, they’re just downright mean at this place, and their beer and food don’t back it up. Don’t waste your time here, there are a dozen better places to drink and eat within 2 mins of walking. Not worth being verbally spit upon to have an okay beer.

Unique place, great cuisine, friendly staff, suitable prices for the most delicious food! Everyone should visit this restaurant. Many thanks to the team who gave us this pleasure for the perfect lunch!

The rooms and Hotel and hotel side were great. The restaurant was a disappointment. The food was standard Czech fair, however the staff was exceptionally rude. We had extended family staying, and when they arrived were seated in the open courtyard, when I tried to go meet them, the waiters had told me that area was closed I was not allowed to go back there. I explained my brother and his family had just arrived, and they grudgingly allowed me to go say hello.We tried to give it another attempt, and have a drink in the bar/restaurant area the following day, and were told we could not sit and have a drink in that area, and to go to the 'microbrew' pub that is attached. (this area was perfectly fine).The microbrew" beer (Old Gott) was subpar compared to the standard Budvar and other local options

I am not a serial online ranter and it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. My experience at this restaurant two nights ago was so bad, that I feel I have to take the time to leave this review. It boils down to one thing, the staff was extremely unfriendly, out-rite rude and the service was absolutely horrible. We were a large group and immediately they appeared annoyed that we were there. I ordered a second round of drinks for the entire group and after 15-20 minutes, none of the drinks had arrived at the tables. I had to go to the service counter and remind them as it appeared they had forgotten. At that point I paid for the round of drinks right then and there. After 20 minutes, no drinks arrived. I returned to the counter to ask when we will get the drinks and they seemed confused. I showed them the receipt for the drinks i ordered 20 minutes earlier and they said they would bring them soon. 10 minutes later they brought less than half the drinks, and never returned with the rest. I had watched to make sure everyone got their drinks and when they didn’t appear to, I went to every member of our group to ask if they received their second drink to make sure I was correct before confronting the staff again.I returned to the counter for a third time to ask where the rest of the drinks were at which point they said they already brought the drinks. I told them they were mistaken and in fact most drinks were still missing. The group of waiters then started speaking in their own language under their breath and appeared more annoyed by me (i believe they weren’t Czech). They continued to deny that they owed me any more drinks, at which point i asked for the manager. The manager came out and I explained the situation to her, while the staff denied my claims to her. The manager was visibly frustrated and said she didn’t know what to do because her staff was telling her that we had been served the drinks. I told her that that was not the case and I am not trying to scam the restaurant for a few drinks.At this point i should note, we were not intoxicated and this was only our second drink of the night I was attempting to order. Eventually, the manager negotiated me down to 2/3 of the drinks we were missing. Soon after, one of the waiters brought the drinks out and angrily slammed them down on the table in front of me.Throughout this entire exchange i never once raised my voice or lost my temper. Their behavior as a collective staff was completely uncalled for and it was apparent that they didn’t want us there. One waiter looked like he wanted to hit me he was so angry, despite the fact that he was not even the one who took the order.We come to Prague annually for a sporting event with over 30 people in our group ready to spend a lot of money for a good team bonding evening and experience. In the future, this joke of a restaurant will not be getting our business. We recommend anyone reading this to go to the Matuska pub and brewery. Very friendly staff, unbelievable food and the beer is the best I have ever had.
