Čůrající postavy

This is such a funny sculpture in Prague especially when filmed in fast motion / time lapse. The statues are humorous. I also find it funny that it’s called ‘piss sculpture’ a must see in Prague. It can be easily missed so keep an eye out and it could be tricky to get a picture if it becomes crowded or busy.

11/05/23: quite a crude structure. Roped off and no longer aesthetic to move. Still in working order. Installed in 2004 by Czech artist David Černý, installed outside the Franz Kafka Museum in Malá Strana. The fountain's basin is made of bronze and shaped like the Czech Republic. Standing in the fountain, opposite one another, are mechanical statues of men, standing 210 centimetres (6 ft 11 in) tall with bronze penises, urinating. Visitors used to be able to command the men to write messages into the water via SMS. This is now not possible. A strange, unusual and somewhat controversial statue

Glorious. Reminds me of a friend of mine. I've taken one star off because the system that usually lets you send texts to have the sculpture write words using the streams of water wasn't working when I visited

Definitely interesting. You can text a message to a phone number and the statues will literally spell out your message. If youre nearby than its worth checking out but its can be easily skipped.
