Obranná chodba
It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. A bit tight though due to the nature if the original building.

The armor exhibit is in the top of the castle wall walk. Where the guards would watch or defend the castle. That historical part was interesting. The other part, the armor was not so much. It was comprised completely of modern reproductions of armors, and they were wrong. The shaping and proportion and fabrication was all inept. If you know nothing about armour then it would be fine, but if you have knowledge of the historical pieces then you will be sorely disappointed.

Great history of armors, helmets, weapons and the way of living from around years 800 to 1800. If you like medieval stuff, this is a place to visit!

This exhibit is on Golden Lane and is an exhibition of torture methods and armoury. There's a steep climb up some narrow staircases were there's about 6 rooms of exhibitions. Most of the collection are of a good standard, but mostly just a collection of stuff with some small explanatory labels.

Small and don't have any plaques or anything else to tell you what is going on, but some pretty gnarly looking stuff. Also a very small room, so what you see in the photos is what you get.

Born in Sikh family is a blessing. We got physically and mentally trained for battles. Our history and our ancestors always inspired us to to be worriers. This is one the reason that Sikh regiment has been deployed on sensitive borders in India. I got the opportunity to visit Prague in September 2015. Everyone asked me to visit Prague castle. Everything about this castle is unique and wonderful. The architecture of this building is really very impressive. It reflects Gothic and Roman architecture that is what I was told. But as a layman, I can say with surety that I love Prague castle. There are many sections of this complex including many churches and a museum with is dedicated to the medieval weaponry. Czech has been pioneered in weapon making and till today check pistols are world popular. The weaponry section has showcased some of very interesting artefacts that were used in battles and some of them for personal use. The armoury has quite spectrum of weapons including Guns, maces, swords, knifes, bows and arrows, and big canons. This was the most interesting part of visit. There was a room just close the weapons room especially build for torture. ancient tools have been on display that were used to torture people or even execution. The sight was horrific. No one wants to be in that room even in their dreams. The display of weapons in the room has been cataloged with numbers and the name of the weapon. They were classified and dispelled accordingly in different sections. I tried to have photographs of all of the weapons from different angles. I wish you all the best for your journey and please be safe. Wear your mask.

Since you are already up at the castle take a walk through this area to see all kinds of armor on the second floor (you wont find it on the main floor).

Obranná chodba
I gave it 5 stars just for the sake of it being free. It was probably my favorite part of the whole Prague castle, but it was very hard to move around. The stairs are steep, the corridors are narrow and I can’t even imagine how bad it gets in the season. I loved the weaponry collection, the torture chamber and the armor. My only wish is that I could learn more about the history of individual pieces, or at least their purpose.
