Hotel Podhrad

Nice, clean, quiet, comfortable hotel in heart of Hluboka, with spacious rooms, large beds, free WiFi, satisfactory breakfasts and kind staff. Private parking is close. The hotel underwent significant refurbishment lately, which benefits its guests.

Been just to the restaurant and food has been delicious - had the fish with salad and potatoes and it tasted great. Restaurant is nice looking, staff is warm :)Tips can be paid in cash only though...

We visited the restaurant only and was extraordinary. Best krkovice ever had: meat was amazing cooked and served on top of potatoes and covered with caramelised onions and bacon. Definitely better then the krkovice I am used to eat in Prague. Vývar was very good I took the chicken one with noodles. I strongly recommend this place. There are table outside as well.

The place is nice and the location as well but I was very disappointed about the food. I ordered a typicall Gulash and I got literally 4/5 pieces of meat with the local dumplings beseide . As I ate in the last few days gulash as well in others places in Cech Republik, I was definitly expecting something better.

Totally disappointed! The hotel and it's interiors are nice but when it comes to comfortability of the beds, usability of the bath room, air situation in the room or quality of the food I would rate -1*. When you add the very nice" personal at the reception then you get total of -3*.Really terrible experience in so called 4* hotel.Detailed:Rooms have no AC and it incredibly hot even when there is only 20C outside.The receptionist insisted on IDs from every guest including our 4y old child. When I handed over by drivers licence she started to be really impolite that i have to give her ID.... Complete nonsense! In the end we had to call home to send us scans of our documents! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. If we didn't have to go to wedding ceremony in 40 minutes

Nice well-kept place. The staff is really very kind (very rare in czech republic). Functional spa. I recommend the relaxation massage, one of the best massage I received in the last 20 years. I don't left the fifth star just for the small spa. In the restaurant there's the typical Czech dishes well served, I like that stuff, very kind and helpful waiters. We'll gladly be back again!

If you are looking to have a good lunch or dinner close to Hluboka castel,this is definitely the spot.I have chosen this place according to trip advisor reviews and my family and myself weren't disappointed. Food in this restaurant is exceptional!

The parking is difficult, a very narrow road around the building. Good luck trying not to scratch your car for this.No WiFi in the room (or rather, it's not possible to connect).The receptionist is unwelcoming and there are many extra policies" specific to this hotel.But overall it was OK experience

Okay I am not sure about the hotel, I didn't stay there but the restaurant serves some delicious Czech dishes. I think it is slightly upmarket restaurant. We didn't try other restaurants around this area but I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this one.
