This is the worst experience I've ever had! I came an hour before the opening and took a coupon, and people who came after three hours of opening went to the window earlier than me without any problems. I waited over six hours in line when my number is highlighted on the table and my turn comes it's just some kind of mockery!

No cashier desk/vending machine for revenue stamps which are required for any process. Even when reserving a timeslot online and being there 30min ahead. The queue will make you wait at least until 15min past your slotted time.

Despite all the negative reviews, my process of obtaining a bridge visa was smooth. If you have an appointment then go to this place else wait to get an E. Do not go there without appointment.

I was surprised about quick appointment for next day via phone call. Very pleasant consultant gave me all needed info during phone call. At the place many people but with appointment I came in almost straight away. Consultant wasn't able to speak English but lady requested support. English speaking representant came and answered all my questions although they cannot use other language than Czech. Very positive visit and thanks for representant.They also have caritas help desk ( in the same building) in case you need communication in English or translation.

This review alongside all the others is so that things might change. Disgusting behavior, not only because of the language barrier (most foreigners can’t yet speak Czech and employees don’t speak any other language than Czech). In my experience, I was scolded that sending an electronically signed proof of accommodation the day before coming to the office is not the best way despite what’s written on the website and the fact that I use the official data box to communicate with Czech institutions which takes seconds. I then waited for 15 minutes because the lady couldn’t be bothered to click a few times on her computer at the desk. She eventually found even more problems giving me some dubious information and couldn’t update my records. The worst part is how she was almost happy that she couldn’t do anything. Zero customer service in a place where people from all over come to settle down important matters. Next time I will ask a broker to deal with this before going there myself, waste time and energy at this place. This is such a shame, it’s like in the old Soviet times.Update: adding 2 more stars, I received a long and personalized email on how to proceed with my changes as I had an edge case. I just went to the same office and another lady proceeded with the updates, she didn’t lash out and she was quick and professional. Please hire more as this clerk. An example of how workers should behave, and customer orientation should be.

I have to admit that I’ve been pleasantly surprised. About 5 years ago we’ve been there to receive a service, 5-6 hours waiting time - 1 star. Today I’ve been there to update a residence permit, been received within 20 minutes from the appointment, no hassles, photographed on the same day!

Every time I arrive 15 minutes before my appointment, take a ticket and then wait 30-60 minutes past my appointment timeThey made a mistake in my son's ID card - we had to do the biometrics again and wait 2 more weeks for it.And then next month they did exactly the same mistake for my wife's ID! They applied separately, so it was a totally different case

They had a good system and respect your on-line appointment (at least for applications for temporary residency for foreigners). They were able to speaks in English, but it was clearly not their first choice even though the appointment was for foreigners.

At least to me positive experience: booked from site, 1 month in advance, arrived early and my easy operation was complete 10 mins in advance . My basic Czech was enough .
