Vila Lanna

Caution!! Google Maps gives wrong indications about the tram stop to get off, because it does not take into account that the railway is crossable. The right stop is Hradčanská, the same as the metro, and therefore the hotel is well connected, but it took a couple of days to figure it out. The villa is beautiful with a beautiful garden, but there is little around it and the room is full of spiders (in mine there were three). The room is really essential, there is no magnetic key and there is a kettle with ONLY ONE green tea bag (never seen such a thing), which I have consumed and they have not even replaced it. The curtains are very light and it is impossible to darken the room well. Cleaning is not good, some crumbs on the desk stayed there for days and in six days they never changed the sheets. Breakfast was only salty, no croissants and there were only two jams, one of which was inedible. Overall I would not go back.

I stayed in Vila Lana with my family for 5 days, we booked more than 10 rooms for a wedding. If you want to feel unwanted, be treated like a thief, and almost be insulted go for it!The building and the garden are beautiful, unfortunately this is the only quality of the hotel. As any decent hotel, we were expecting to have some services. Unfortunately, we had no towels changed for 5 days, the bed sheets were destroyed and dirty (as shown on the picture), we used two cups of tea the first evening, which were never taken out. The room is decorated with few carpets which can be nice, until they are not cleaned regularly. We also found just next to the bed old hair curlers from previous guests. Not to mention the sink which was smelling bad.We mentioned all of this for the checkout and were expecting for some commercial refund, as there was no services we can expect in any hotel, especially with 3 stars.Well... We were said that we should have ask for cleaning and new towels (we putted them on the floor and just found them back at the same place..) and that the manager will not be there before 2 pm, when it was 11.30. As our flight was leaving at 2.30, we asked to see someone in charge or at least to get a phone call. The discussion starts to heat after we were told that we have to pay or they will send the police (seriously?!). Basically the all arguments were that the man receptionist went to Paris 3 times and he wasn't able to find any room for less than 80€ per night, which is the price for double room in the hotel, so we shouldn't complain because for us it's really cheap. Then, new thing was that for the price of the room you even can't have breakfast in Paris. So: since when our nationality should involved our bank account? Also, how the personal experience of the receptionist should excuse the lack of service of this hotel? Not to mention that, yes, you can have a room and even breakfast for this price. Finally, I was told that I was the only one from my family to complain about this, which is right only because no one speaks good enough English to explain this. I wouldn't need to say that I've never seen any personnel working in hotel shouting on clients (the Pay or I call police!" yelled on the lobby could wake up anyone in the building) so rudely

The total experience was good. Well maintained gardens, with outdoor eating area was an add on. Room itself was good too. Minibar was well equipped. Worth the money

In June 2018, we drove down to Austria with a Harley Davidsson Breakout 2016. We started from Luleå which is located in northern Sweden. After passing Germany we went to Prague. Vila Lanna is close to town and right in front of the local police station. We had to park our motorcycle behind the hotel in this locked courtyard. It felt like living in a smaller castle or mansion but at a really good price. The breakfast was ok. The garden on the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Calm and nice.

I stayed only one night. This place is much more interesting than uniform hotel. Interior is reminding the era of begin of the 20th century. Especially wall paintings in the breakfast room. One important remark, my room doesn't have bathroom and toilet inside but on the corridor shared with other one room. I am not sure if it is same for all rooms, so check before booking.

I enjoyed a very peaceful stay here. The villa has been beautifully restored, spacious and well maintained garden, lovely friendly staff and excellent food in their frescoed salon space. And all at a very reasonable price, highly recommended.

I don't recommend this hotel at all. They confirm my booking and good I asked about parking reservation they said there is no place any more, unpolite service and staff. Booking was confirmed and they even didn't let me know. Be careful and choose other hotel.

Beautiful villa, with interior available to see during Open House festival. Huge garden with a restaurant/cafe with very reasonable prices for the location
