Perhaps this is the best eatery in the area, since it combines both good food, characteristic ambiance and honest prices.Here you can enjoy a wide selection of typical Czech cuisine: maybe the execution isn't at the highest levels, but it's honest and I think you will not be disappointed.How not to mention the wide variety of beers, including Plzen on tap?As for the ambiance: linked by aisles, rooms have a mountain-medieval furnishing with little external light and many hides of hunted animals hanging on the walls. You can easily feel as you were in an escape play with a medieval-castle-maze-setting. Wooow!The staff can not speak fluently neither English nor German, but they do explain with no problems: don't forget the well-deserved tip!If you can book it's better, especially if you want to enjoy the gazebo. If you cannot book, try it anyway, because there's plenty of seating.Definitely recommended!

Food: Traditional Czech cuisine, well done. We had ribs and duck, both very good. If you are into Czech cuisine or want to try it, U Medvèda is definitely place to go.Staff: Quite nice - like you would expect in such restaurant.Atmosphere: We were in non-smoking part of restaurant, which was ok. But I am not a fan of ‘’overfurnished ‘’ rooms full of stuffed animals and their heads on walls. Traditions can be made with style and minimalism.NOTE: Duck is really good.

Очень атмосферно. Хорошее обслуживание. Приятно удивили цены. Достаточно вкусно. Подача тартара очень странная, но спишем на особенности местной кухни. Есть летняя площадка. Рекомендую.

The staff were very polite with a wide range of meals to select from extremely efficient service and the food was excellent and hot beer was good as well highly recommended
