People were leaving because they were not being served. We waited for an hour for horrible food. Besides that, food was expensive and waiters were clumsy. Definitely not a recommendation.

Do not come here! We came with a tour group and ordered some drinks. They took our euro and gave back Czech currency with the lowest exchange rate, so we wanted to pay with card and they refused with a super rude attitude. We felt like they overcharged us so we asked for a receipt and they didn’t even give it to us. When our tour guide tried to explain the situation, they just ignored us. Owner, if you’re reading this, our tour guide will inform all tour groups from Asia not to come here due to scams and rude service.

Zaskočil jsem jen na pivo uprostřed výletu a chutnalo mi. Když jsem seděl na předzahrádce, zaujala mě na webu historie budovy z počátku 20. století, která vznikla na místě dvou původních gotických parcel. Informace jsem později doplnil z knihy NPU. Dům, který předcházel tomu dnešnímu, byl ve 30. letech 18. století v tak zuboženém stavu, že vlastníkovi Františku Umlaufovi, hejtmanu v Želetavě, bylo městem po mnoha urgencích sousedů nařízeno, aby dal dům do pořádku. Z této doby zřejmě pochází sochařská barokní výzdoba, která byla později přenesena i na zvýšený novobarokní štít. Klasicistní podoba budově vydržela do roku 1908, kdy byl dům na zadání nového vlastníka, Vzájemné záložny v Telči, radikálně přestavěn podle projektu Jaroslava Pantoflíčka.

I wish I had checked the reviews before sitting down here. I wish I had gotten up and left when I asked my partner, “How much longer do we wait for menus before we leave?”Horrible service, cash only and food that is so bland that salt and pepper can’t help it!We had the roasted chicken leg and the chicken schnitzel with a side order of cucumber salad.Well, let me say this - tasteless! If I had been blindfolded I would have guessed soggy cardboard. The chicken was dry and tasteless! The schnitzel gave my partner an upset stomach and the cucumber salad was finely sliced cucumber in a bowl of water - wait! There was a hint of vinegar but my partner couldn’t taste it.Totally worthless intake of calories. I’d rather have gone down the street and had ice cream for lunch.No matter how crowded it is giving you a sense of being ok, don’t go here!

Food not that great and flavourless (had fried cheese and boiled potatos, and fried chicken), side dishes expensive. Food clearly frozen and reheated. Also, doesn't accept card as payment.

This place does not deserve a single star. The meals are terrible, serving is rude by the owner, who is the main waiter. He does not pay any attention to custumers, he scans them, does not receive any card for paying the bill. I am sure I do not recommend to anybody!!!! This place is shame of Telc!!!

DON'T GO HERE! You want to know why? Please read on or read the other reviews carefully.Everybody told us this is a bad place and as I live for some time in Telč now we said that we have to try it ourselves before judging this place.First we ordered and alcohol free beer and a lemonade. They brought us 2 lemonades. Of course they switched the one lemonade for the alcohol free beer, but the tone was said. We asked them for coasters. After 10 minutes they came and told us they don't have them... (Free supplied by the brewery).The menu looks OK for an average Czech restaurant, so we ordered the Telčský vrabec (backed pork pieces) with ONLY potato dumplings and gnocchi with pork.Because we were early and alone on the terrace the food was served fast. It didn't look much appetising, but we tried.The Telčský vrabec was served with the unwanted bread dumplings, the potato dumplings were mashy and the meat without taste.The gnocchi also lacked taste.The worse thing was that we found a iron spun from a cleaning sponge in the dumpling!After finishing the food and paying no sorry or some other excuse (e.g. free drink).The staff is not well trained and exist out of some Ukraine women and a grumpy Czech guy.The surrounding outside is of course nice because of the beautiful square and the terrace also looks nice and clean. But not all chairs have cussions.All in all an experience we really will not repeat. Try to avoid this place even if it means that you have to wait at another place.Negative reviews confirmed!

Food is mediocre at best. Wait staff girl was great(all I can say good) but owner brought out the check and would not accept credit card.He seemed shady and rude. He said it was my responsibility to ask before I order if they accept cards. Cash only but that was not stated on door or told to us on arrival. The food was not even good. There is an ATM machine right outside the door that charges a $4.00 fee!! He probably owns the ATM! Only two other people came in to eat while we were there. That should tell you something! A V O I D!!!
