I think many of the reviewers are mixing two places (and tagging wrong pictures): this Smíchow funicular is inside an NH Hotel and has not very special views. The Petrin Funicular is more fascinating with nice views. Funicular enthusiasts should visit both but for normal tourists, take the other one, the Petrin Funicular!

It’s nice, if you buy tickets for tram in city you can use this tickets for funicular too. Beautiful view.

Pretty nice surprise: a cable car with entrance inside a hotel. It brings you up the hill to another building of the hotel with a brilliant view and even more brilliant restaurant. At least the tagliatelle flambé for 2 persons were just the best!

Try this to avoid the steep walk, it’s cheap and fun. Self service ticket machines as this is part of the Prague public transport network that includes buses and trams.
