Levne Knihy means Cheap Books in Czech. It’s a wonderful bookshop with huge amount of different books for a great price starting from one euro equivalent. Majority of books are in Czech, but in the middle on the right (before entering the section with books and goods for kids), you can find at least two sets of shelves with good and new books in English (and prices are at least twice cheaper comparing to usual bookshop). In addition, they sell CDs, calendars, diaries, toys etc. On the upper floor, you can find decorations for home and tableware.

This is a great place for anything literary, and a real find for this English reader. Levné Knihy has a decent selection of English fiction and other published works. The prices are excellent, with some novels selling for as little as 60czk. I'm a regular customer.

Great choice and prices, also nice addition that you can buy here few home decor and stationary items along with a new bestseller, but w the staff is super good and friendly

I really like this place. But one IMPORTANT detail the last time I was there they said they moved their English section. So you won't find any English books there, only Czech ones. If you want English books then go to Budget books it's the same thing just in a different location and with a big English section :)

If you can get past the entrance, where it seems people gather to let wind, there is a great selection of books for kids, and small toys in the atrium.

Good selection of Czech/English kids books and lots of cheaper Czech baby books. A much bigger store than some Levne Knihy shops I've been to in other parts of Prague.
