Vestecký rybník

Located little outside of Prague but connected mainly by 331 bus from Opatov (other connections possible from few other red line metro). It is a nice green village with a pond and huge park with playground and bbq facilities. BBQ place is free of charge and there is water supply included. We did a recent bbq there and the facility was great in the park.Pro tip - for bbq if you want the covered area like in my picture if you have to go early in morning and secure place. However it is huge so easily you can share between 2 parties- like we did. There are a number of Toi toi as well so convenient.Cons - it is little far but since it is a village area near Opatov it take between 120-150 czk in taxi.

Nice walk and the Solar system display and info boards that they have on each planet, set at an equivalent scale from the next, is great for the kids to learn.Unfortunately only in Czech

Nice smaller pond with trees around, football field, kids playground, small fast food restaurant. Most interesting is wooden pathway through the center of the pond with no railing. Parking is near by. The worst part of this visit was non existing sidewalks - very muddy pathways.

Perfect for a stroller walk and small kids. Definitely recommend this place. Its everything for everyone
