90. mateřská škola Plzeň

The phantom of communism is still haunting this place. We only lasted here 1 week of attendance in total. This should be a statement in itself. My kid eventually refused to come here, reason why we found another kindergarten more suitable for him. I do not know what to begin with, but perhaps I should start with the food. My kid, who is allergic to eggs and has medical papers stating he is allergic to eggs, was repeatedly offered pomazanka made with mayonaise (made with eggs). Kids are kind of forced to sleep. If they don't, they are told to try harder. There is a total lack of meaningful activities that would constitute actual learning and the emphasis is on 'free play', meaning kids playing by themselves. My kid was getting bullied, because the others didn't even know he was a foreigner and he didn't have a good command of the Czech language. We lived in Hong Kong before. There, education is taken very seriously. Sadly, this cultural difference is a little too much for us. I managed to put my son into a private kindergarten and he loves going there, so on the bright side, there is good education in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, not in the public system. I bet this institution was really happy to get rid of us foreigners, because we are too much of a trouble to deal with at the end of the day. Czechs like it when everybody is the same. The level of racism, discrimination and shere stupidity in Plzen is in general through the roof. I haven't lived elsewhere in Czech to make a comparizon, but this is a serious problem and is dragging this place down. The good parents of these kids who bullied mine, were asking about English courses in the kindergarten. Well, they could have told their kids to be nicer to mine, who is in effect, a native speaker of English, having spoken nothing but English in the house. Maybe they could have learnt from him and he could have learnt Czech from them. But hey, why learn from him when your kids can call him stupid and push him on the floor?! Awesome, I hope it suits you. The reason why you speak foreign languages so badly in this country stems from your entire attitude towards foreigners and from your individual decisions regarding education. It's a tragedy and long term, I do not see any advancement for the Czech public system.

Paní učitelky jsou bezvadné, krásné třídy, zahrada... pro dětičky ideální školka :-).

Skvělá školka s pohodovým prorodinným přístupem. Děti jsou hodně venku, paní učitelky bezvadné, děti spokojené.
