Poignant reminder of the courage of american and czech soldiers. Pilsen is a must visit for all Americans. The Czech people celebrate America as Americans destroy our history.

I went to this small museum with school. It's not like museum, more it is like collection of stuffs whic american soldiers left in city after they freed it in end of second world war. I didn't expect it to be so interesting.

We found the museum by accident while checking a map of Pilsen which was a stop on our trip in Czech Republic. As a couple of WW2 collectors and reenactors, we were very happy with the visit and talk with Ivan who seems to be very involved in the WW2 History and Memory. The museum offers a 1h visit with many readings that precisely depict all the events that happened in Czech Republic and display a fair amount of local finds and some items that belonged to Patton himself! At the end of the visit is a 10 min video focused on the huge event that happens in Pilsen every year in May to celebrate the liberation of the city and the end of the WW2 in Europe. We hope to attend the celebrations in a near future with all the beautiful people of Czech Republic who do not want to forget.

Rev Verl Sterns from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, drove a Sherman tank (the “Brooklyn Baby”) in the US Third Army, 16th Armored Div. Their photo is in the Patton Museum in Pilsen.

Really good way to kill an hour. It was awesome but not a huge all day museum.

Patton Memorial Pilsen
An interesting museum documenting a lesser-known phase of WWII through informative signs in several languages and lots of photos. There are a handful of star artifacts and interesting presentations, but most of the collection are cases of random items from common soldiers.
