The food was palatable, and the speed with which it was served was surprising, within 8min of the order placement, we already had four different courses on the table. Price reflected the quality. Quite probably the best restaurant in the close vicinity to Karlštejn.

One of the best places with great food including deer and boar at a fair price (much lower than in Prague).I recommend visiting it after the castle (there is a forest path from the castle to this restaurant).

Loved my overnight stay. Nice quaint place a little away from the town. It's a nice walk alongside nature to get to the hotel.Staff were courteous and were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Check in took less than 10 mins as they were expecting me.The room was as displayed on the booking site. Not pretentious, calm place for a calm day.Only about 500m to the main gate of the castle...but it's a fair uphill climb.

The restaurant was able to seat our party of 14 immediately. The waiters were very patient and attentive. We had the duck, the fried cheese, and the grilled chicken with basil and it was all delicious. They have a large selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. They didn't even complain when we asked to pay separately and they had a system that made the whole process so easy and allowed us to stay in our seats and continue visiting with each other while we all paid. I would definitely recommend this restaurant on your visit to Karlštejn.

Menu sounded exciting. Soup was great, but the use of frozen vegetable with hard coarse pieces made it a little less pleasing. Kung Pao chicken made without gluten was absolutely and with too many peanuts, rice wasn't good either. Pheasant with rosehip sauce and bacon infused dumplings looked grea, but it was great disappointment. Dumplings were soaked in fat, floury and therefore very heavy. Pheasant was a bit dry, but lovely with the rosehip sauce. For two bites. Then I reached the bacon which was old and spoiled. Unfortunately that combination made me sick.Staff genuinely apologized for the inconvenience and offered that I won't pay for my meal - pleasant surprise in Czech restaurant.

This restaurant gives you opportunity to park your car at their private parking (only when you are the paying customer). Great place to make the trip to the castle Karlštejn and back (5 mins walking) . They have the common offer of meals and drinks (not the traditional Czech cuisine but good fresh meals). They have a nice terrace with many places to sit.

Typical Czech restaurant with traditional food. The staff was fast and nice. The food was ok, but the taste could be more refined and the meat did not taste that fresh. All in all in Karlštejn it is a good place to have lunch.

June 2022Went to the Restaurant after reading other good reviews, the place seemed nice with outdoor and indoor seating.It was quite crowded afternoon, it took the waiter 15 mins to get us the menu.The food was below average, meat was too dry. Neither were there too many options to choose from just very typical czech options.Wouldn’t recommend or revisit.

Excellent dinner: quite cheap and large portions, we dont have to wait and everything was fresh and warm. Even someone, who never eats vegetables, have eaten all of them. Thank YOU!
