Velký strahovský stadion
The largest stadium of tge world. The playarea is largeas 9 football fields. No use for anything at all - except for mass shows where 300 thausand people perform simultainously. The concrete mass pf tgis old stadium is so heavy, that the hill under it is sliding a littlebit every year. Well, noone knows how to use nowadays such a huge construction - maybe it could be a landingfield for a largespaceship once :) :)

Velký strahovský stadion
Monstrosity from the First Republic, now largely falling apart. I get the impression that no-one really know what to do with this place. Closed for competitive sports since 1994. With a capacity of 220,000, this is more than twice as much as the current largest stadium in the world (Rungrado in North Korea). National treasure, but no-one cares about it.

It’s a ruin now and they don’t take care for it. That’s a shame, because it’s a monument of the grandeur of the past of the Sparkadiada’s. They are from the pre-communist time originally and belong to Czech culture. Save the stadium and make it accessible for the people!

I played in such a big ground and it was an important match against VŠE university and we TUL won with 2-1 leading... I loved the stadium to the extent I couldn't explain...:)

Velký strahovský stadion
The largest stadium in the world, this concrete edifice is crumbling, but still quite interesting to see for those who enjoy giant construction worksThe stadium was built in the 20’s and was used for gymnastics displays for the patriotic Sokol organisation. It was used by the Communists and for rock concerts in the 90’s after the fall of Communism, but it is now falling into disrepair, and certain sections look as if they may need demolished over the next few decades. It is currently used as a training ground for the local team AC Sparta Prague. It cannot be accessed by tourists via the main entrance on the eastern side, however, on the west side, around the middle of the stadium, is a terrace that can be accessed if you ask the receptionist nicely. This gives some great views of the stadium.

Velký strahovský stadion
Incredibly big stadium. I was able to visit the place during OpenHousePraha 2019 and it is Huge, 9 soccer fields inside. Many rock bands have played there before. The visit is really worth it. If you are able to get in you will have a very nice view (depending on which side of the stadium you are). You will need to find if its opened to the public.
