AMBIX Gypsy Club and Restaurant
What a surprise, just next to our apartment. Family run restaurant (really). husband on the floor, wife in the kitchen and daughter in between. The result it’s great : friendly atmosphere, food prepared like at home if you had important guests, reasonable prices and on top of that live gipsy band. Very very good!

My family and I came here on a hot summer day. We had an excellent experience!! I highly recommend the chili goulash, the best meat I have EVER had!! You will NOT be disappointed. Fantastic service and atmosphere.

Perfect meal. Everything was extremely delicious. The owner was welcoming and very nice and the restaurant had a great vibe. The portions were well sized and the homemade bread was perfect for the goulash. Whenever we visit Prague then this will be one of our “spots”

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m Romani and this is a dream come true — a restaurant with real Roma food, owned by real Roma with heart, and with real, live, Roma music. This is hands-down some of the best music you’ll hear anywhere, not just some of the best Roma music in the Czech Republic. During our visit last week, people from another Roma family were there with their non-Roma friends/relatives, and we sang the Roma anthem together as the musicians played. We ordered halušky, which were out of this world, and a filled marikla, which is a twist on Roma flatbread that I’d never had before. I’m looking forward to eating their pišot and goja at some point, too, but most of all I’m extremely happy about the quality of musicians who play here. Run, do not walk to this restaurant, and come back the next night for a different band!

We went there cuz we saw they have good reviews, but when we got there the whole place smells like cigarettes that the owner was smoking inside, they didn’t have any available vegetarian options altho it says so in the menu that they do have. I had to order a tapa instead which wasn’t tasty and worth the price! The owner was rude and wanted to charge us for tap water, honestly i dont even know why is this place is rated so high

Overall, great food. The person who was there was very helpful! We ordered goulash and a cabbage soup with roasted meat and sausage. Honestly? No idea as to what my favorite was since they were both so incredibly good. Nest time we're in Prague, we will definitely come back!!!
