Short version:Definitely go here, be sure to reserve a spot beforehand!! And also get the potato dumplings!Long version:Went here while on a skiing holiday for a week, and I highly (and I mean highly) recommend eating here. I can only vouch for dinner, but I can with honesty say that this has been the best dinner I've had in years. The service is just phenomenal, quick, witty and friendly.Some things to note;- be sure to get a reservation. This place has only a few seats to take and chances are big you won't be able to be seated if you come in without a reservation.- because of the first point, the restaurant is on a tight schedule when it comes to people dining, and you have to have dinner and dessert within 90 minutes after which you're gestured to depart. But don't worry, this is more than possible with the fast service and food being delivered.- I highly recommend getting the potato dumplings with sauerkraut!!! It was simply incredible and the rest of my group who tried also loved it (even someone who really doesn't like sauerkraut)- For people who don't have a large appetite; skip the appetiser. I couldn't finish the main course and quite frankly it was sad because I enjoyed it so much.- Finish with a single scoop of lemon ice-cream, it's the perfect dessert and doesn't try to be anything it's not. Just a simple scoop of ice-cream in a bowl, it's brilliant.

Excellent place to dine after skiing and not only. Typical Czech cuisine, great hospitality and average (in my opinion) prices. The price value exchange is super.Suggest booking place in advance.

We initially had trouble finding a table as we visited without a reservation, but the next day we called in to reserve for an early dinner and were able to secure a seat.When we arrived, the place had a lovely atmosphere — it felt like a proper restaurant but with the warmth and comfort of a local hostinec. The place was packed with big families who looked like they had just finished skiing for the day, making the atmosphere lively and cheerful.The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the beef tartare with garlic bread which was fresh and flavorful. The beef svickova was cooked to perfection, with moist knedlicky and a generous amount of sauce that reminded us of grandmother's cooking. The fresh farm chicken steak was lightly marinated and flavored, showcasing the quality of the meat itself. The pork steak had a crispy exterior and was well-marinated with herbs, although it was a bit dry for my taste, it was still juicy and flavorful. Our only minor complaint was that the lemonade was a bit too sweet, but the staff were gracious enough to provide us with another small pitcher of water.The service was friendly and courteous, although it was a bit slow. However, it was worth the wait as every dish was well-prepared and delicious. They accept both cash and card, making payment easy and convenient. Our only wish is that the place was bigger so it could accommodate more people.Overall, we had a fantastic time at Hostinec Na Kopečku and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We would love to come back and enjoy more of their delicious food and warm atmosphere. Definitely 5/5 stars and a must-visit for anyone in the area!

Everything we ordered was so delicious! Extra love for the carpaccio, the beef sirloin in veggie creamy sauce, and the Krakonos’s fire with added potato pancakes. The service was super fast and the servers all very kind. We walked in and they squeezed us in for an hour even though we had no reservation!

Amazing. We went there as a recommandation from a lovely local woman and we werent dissapointed. Its a bit pricey compared to other restaurants but its really worth it. And if you come from western countries its not expensive at all, for what you get. We will be back. Oh and their Latte was great as well!

It's a better-than-average place that got really popular due to being included in a food guide some time ago. As a result, it's constantly packed, overhyped, the staff is stressed. Menu is good but food is just OK though. The place does not deliver on those higher expectations at all.I visited two years ago and I will probably come again, but it's because of the lack of real alternatives, and not enthusiasm.At the end of the day, you get a decent meal.

The only thing I tried was garlic soup and fried cheese. Garlic soup was really great and worth recommending. Fried cheese is just fried cheese you can't go wrong with that. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and service. What is worth mentioning is that the restaurant is not big so reservation for bigger groups is advised.
