Nothing can be worst than Czech posts. I ordered a new cat from the USA: black and gold tabby. Czech customs held it for 5 days and then charged me €150. It was only supposed to be €100, but the tabby bit the receptionist and they charged me a fee. I will never be ordering pets again.

The worst organization in Czech Republic.They asked me for 5300 + 3500 CZK for two parcels that are as gift from my family.

Absolute nightmare. Parcel tracking system doesn’t give you a clue that any actions need to be taken for customs clearance. I was trying to setup a proxy for customs clearance because I couldn’t go there physically. They don’t have an online form to do that, only some ms word documents that you need to download and then forward by email. And the actual form that website guidelines point you to is simply missing and cannot be downloaded. No online customer chat or clear guidelines on how to get customs proxy to clear your parcel. Ridiculous queues and waiting time when trying to reach them by phone. Best thing you can do is ship by private companies because they have their own customs terminal and they clear all shippings very fast. Can’t think of a worse customer experience.

Customs clearances not in conformity with EU regulations. Customs collects DPH on items that arrived via eBay from overseas with prepaid DPH/VAT resulting in double payments of DPH/VAT. Customer support with Customs is not available. Try to avoid having sent items from overseas via USPS to Czech Republic. Try to avoid contacting CP customer support as you will not be able to resolve these issues with them.

It seems the posta has found some nice way to make easy money with the help of the customs: any parcel coming from outside of EU is intercepted and then a fee of minimum 10€ is required for the procedure. And don't think that for this price you will get any work done: most of the time you will have to pay the VAT again (since most of the websites add the taxes already in the final price). Ridiculous.

After reading so many complaints i need to say that my experience was more than fine today. Here is a guide for foreigners : go up to third floor. enter the door to the right (2nd pic),pick up the original shipping slip, then go to the left (1st pic) go in when the light is green for one of the counters. Give the documents ( original shipping paper, letter you got, payment and bank transfer docu),they calculate the duty to be paid. You get the calculated amount and pay at pokladna counter in the same room. then you get a paper that it is paid..with all these you go back to the first door..pay for the storage and finally pick up the package. Good luck! They do speak some English and only accept cash payment !

They stoled my goods from Switzerland. Arrived January 2022, missing since, nobody takes responsibility, post blames customs blames post, either way, my 5000 euros in goods are gone. Thank you Cech Customs!!!

I was afraid at first with all the negative feedback…. BUT, things have change.My first experience there is very nice. The staffs are friendly and helpful especially the tall guy (sorry I didn’t ask for his name).I got all the information I need and I cannot wait for my package to arrive.You can set the date for the package to arrive.. just email to the post office. =]P.S. being angry doesn’t help you anything. You are just making your life and the Ceska Post Employees life more complicated. Be patient and remember, the employee just do their job and they have their protocols…

From Germany the package arrived here after 1 day and was updated via tracking that it was accepted by this office, since then 11 days have past and I got an email now that the package cannot be found and that I should contact the German post office? Are you kidding me? No wonder nobody likes to send via Czech post anymore if avoidable.
