I just don’t know how this place got such a good rating. We found it by its rating and it was a disappointment. I ordered filtered coffee, which I normally drink without milk to enjoy its authentic taste. It’s nice of them that they even have it on offer, given other places still haven’t discovered the magic of filtered coffee. However, this coffee was just bad, so bad I had to add the milk I was given. Surely, they should consider switching their coffee supplier, there’s plenty of quality local roasters in the Czech Republic. The dessert I got was ordinary. There is no specific vibe, the place is ordinary. For the kind of experience we got, it was also pricey - 175 CZK for a cup of filtered coffee, a dessert and a Diet Coke. My last issue with this place is the large offer. A menu with a large number of items suggests a lack of focus, which translates into poor quality. Good restaurants are no longer judged by the size of their offer. I expect a good coffee place to have a few really tasty treats and a decent coffee selection, that’s pretty much it.

Café Bar Modrá
Got recommended by the hotel I stayed in, and didn’t regret trying it out! The breakfast was pretty good and the coffee was nice. The waitresses were helpful and kind as well (maybe tried communicating in German- I suspect some people had bad experience just because of miscommunication) I paid under 300czk which was a pretty good price for the quality and the portion.

Marianske Lazne is not know for its great night life. However, during all my stayes in this beautiful city, I've almost spent all of my nights here, enjoying wide variety of desserts, beer, ice cream and many more. Not a place for a lunch or dining, but definetly great place for a quick coffee during day.

Nice cake shop and bar. I would not call it a coffeehouse, as its coffee looks pretty average and there are much better cafes in Marianske Lazne. I had there great desserts and staff welcame us very warmly, although we came with a baby in a stroller and it is sometimes quite difficult to have a table in a cake shop as they usualy are very small. Well, this one was spacy and directly in the hearth of the city. Parking is possible in front of the building for a classical fee. I liked it.

1st avoid next door of Modrá Kavárna (same house) THIS IS ABSOLUTELY disgusting and not recommended. In regards to Modrá Kavárna itself (door at left side) it is 50:50. Surely DO NOT EVER offer anything to eat, all is from frozen 3rd party semi-finished products and defrost in microwave. In regards to desserts nearly nothing is made there. All is made by different sweet factory and delivered in Modrá kavárna with exceptions to pancakes and waffles. Coffee is good taste, but wrong service. No small glass of water. In regards to desserts although 3rd party it is reasonable quality but not for the price. There is better option. Recommended or not...is true question. For quality tasting for sure Not it is all made by 3rd party not by them. If you need just quick stop for coffee and desserts probably yes

Café Bar Modrá
A smallish café serving coffee and tea, cakes, salads and light refreshments. The decor is simple and functional. It can have a cold vibe in the winter months. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We had yummy pancakes. Parking is a bit tricky but if you want to walk around the town and fancy a nice coffee and cake, this is an ideal place.

Very friendly service, speedy taking of orders, multilingual, awesome atmosphere, a must visit, 2 very good coffees and delicious gateaux cost under 9 Euros!
