Beautiful museum. A must visit if you're coming to Prague.Definitely make sure to give yourself at least a couple of hours to spend exploring the various exhibits. There was a huge variety when I visited, from natural history to geology. There were a mixture of general exhibits and ones more focused on local history etc.The staff were really lovely and helpful, everyone was very friendly. I didn't go to the cafe or get any food/snacks, but I did go to the gift shop and they had a good amount of gifts available to buy, both general Prague themed as well as exhibit specific items. Everything I bought was very reasonably priced, definitely on the cheap side, but good quality.Make sure to check out the top floor as well for a great view at the end of the day!

Fantastic museum covering natural history, geology, marine life, the 1950s in Prague and another section covering the complete history of Prague from WW1 to today. At the time of our visit, there was a visit exhibition from the Czech foreign press, as well as an exhibition on the outfits of the first lady. The museum is set across two buildings, the 'old' and 'new' buildings. These are connected by underground tunnel. There is cafe located in both builds and are disabled friendly. If you are disabled, it would be recommended to enter through the 'new' building as it has better access. The buildings itself in a way is part of the main draw of the visit, with the old building containing a grand marble stair cases. Whereas the 'new' building is soviet era and the upper floors still have the design quirks from that era. With that being said, this is an unmissable museum in Prague, with both great exhitbitions and interiors to marvel at!

A very beautiful building with beautiful views. Unfortunately I couldn't get inside, but I suggest you just look at the building. Very cool

Visited with a friend, a lady asked me to take a pic of her and her friends and was all very nice until I laughed with my friend cause I'm a hopeless photographer and a female guard came over and told us to be quiet, I felt very uncomfortable so only did one floor of museum then went to exit, going through gift shop on the way out thought I'd grab a couple of gifts but card machine refused my card, I checked with my bank it was there machine. So very dissapointing visit. For me not worth the money and I won't go again.

This National Museum is worth a visit. First of all it’s a breath taking building with a fascinating architecture. The artifacts itself are presented in a unique, aesthetic ways.It has 3 exhibition floors and on the additional top floor you can enjoy a beautiful view over Prague on top of the dome. The museum itself also has a nice cafe and several gift shops. It has a very fascinating selection of stones and meteorites as well as a lot of reconstructions of historic mammals and other animals, the history of Bohemia and much more

In short: The museum has a beautiful exterior and interior. The exhibits are great, interactive and nicely done.Complete review: I visited the museum in the spring. I really enjoyed the visit. The museum is beautiful not only from the outside, but also from the inside. I visited several exhibitions e.g. Windows to Prehistory, Miracles of Evolution, History or Mineral Halls. I recommend allowing more than 3 hours for your visit so that you don't rush through the museum. I also recommend taking a map at the entrance. The building is not large, but with a map you will find your way around better. A voice guide is also available if you want to learn even more. There is a dome on the roof of the building, where you can freely go and look at the view of the whole of Prague. But there is usually a smaller queue at the dome, so expect that. The museum also has a snack shop and a nice souvenir shop. I definitely recommend it. I will come back here sometime when there are new exhibitions.

Nice Museum with history , lots of things to watch from animals fossils to stones. Need to give time to read everything. You get access to both old and new museum building in same ticket. If you like history and museums then good place to spend time. Else enjoy some nice vibes inside and outside when you look at the street from Museum. One time visit is must.

What a treasure this museum is! Beautiful building with modern displays (which the museum is obviously very proud of). Minor interactivity but plenty of digital displays to keep both the kids and adults interested for hours at a time. Especially enjoyed the natural history and prehistoric sections!
