Wonderful machinery, this classic sideways chairlift. Transporta Chrudim under license from Von Roll, Werk Bern. The only one (VR 101) chairlift from 1952 that's still running. A beauty!! Hope they will keep this nostalgic and amazing ride 'till 2052 and beyond!!!This thing is very special and must be kept operational. Hopefully someone will pick up on this and will try care and invest in this classic - last of it's kind unique transport!!

Nice experience gets you for a penny up to the best viewpoint of the all environs. Than you may follow the mountain tracks and enjoy the cultivated nature with the stories of history written in the landscape on horizon.

Old-school classic cable from which you can enjoy wonderful views to the country in the southeast direction. The cable goes so slowly that we could examine details of the vegetation to see the borders and changes of its stages depending on the altitude. As we came by car, we just made a round trip but it must be great to have a bicycle with and go on the other end.

Great, fun and cheap way of getting up to the high vista point. The funicular is pretty retro, looks like it hasn't been updated for decades.I'd recommend holding small kids up to age 7 tightly on your lap, as I don't think the safety bars in the seats are very safe – don't let kids wiggle around when up there!You can walk down, but be aware that it's a winding path about 7km (it is in the shade of the forest, so not too bad in hot weather).
