Great place to have a drink and some food after playing in the near by sporting complex or after a hike/walk around Holedna or Svratka river. The service is sometimes bit slow (for food), but overall it's a great outdoor venue to just sit and unwind if you did some exhausting outside activity. The vicinity of the restaurant is beautiful too, with a nearby bridge over Svratka river with some ducks/swans. I would recommend this place.

If you are in a mood for perfect ribs, chicken wings or pork knuckle, this is the place you have to visit. You can also order a takeout or delivery, but fresh is the best to have here. Inside is not very big, but outside seating can accommodate more than a hundred people. With the size it sometimes takes a minute or two to get to you. This place gets crowded pretty often, it's better to make a reservation. Take your kids as well, there is a big playground here. Even the kids menu is good to choose from. Cyclists are welcome, many bike holders are here to park your ride. Don't forget to grab a beer, it goes great with the ribs.

This place is famous for spare ribs and pork knuckle they serve. We waited for about an hour for our food. The pork knuckle was dry, and not very tasty. Will avoid this place next time.(The staff were really busy, and we waited for ages for everything).

Ribs,Ribs,Ribs that all I can say to you!Order it and you will know why I rated 5 stars.The Ribs are cooked so well and it comes in 500g or 1KG portion. The side dish and garlic bread is also included. It’s definitely top 5 food which I tried in Brno.I really recommend this place specially in summer cause they have tables out side as well,The price is fair compare to Average of Brno,Not cheap and not expensive.The location is near one river which makes it more cozy.The stuff are friendly.I tried chicken soup as well which I liked but it wasn’t amazing.The Total score which I give them is: ~~> 9.2/10 <~~The score is based on Range (Brno and Czech Republic)Enjoy.Mahyar Golkari

The pork ribs are really awesome and from my point of view they are the best in town. Great wine and beer. Great garden during summer. You can pay by card. Nice playground for kids.

I'm dinning here every single time I come to Brno (almost every second weekend) for the last couple years. The meat and specially the ribs are amazing. I gave 5 stars for the food, and 1 star for service , so 3 stars in the end, and that's because of the unpleasant experience we had (waiter's name is Robert). A little background: while we're ordering food for 5 people, and drinks as well, we are asked to not let the young kid (4y old) to drink his own water from his own bottle we had from home. This is the first time when we were asked ever for such thing. It didn't matter that we ordered a lot of drinks already, we ordered a lot of food as well, and still they considered that we are trying to avoid ordering drinks from the restaurant. :( I hope Robert will understand one day, when he will be a father, what it means to have young kids :) I still recommend the restaurant for the amazing food they serve, but very disappointed on the service.

I haven't been to MJ Holiday in quite a few years until today. The place has not changed at all, and that's in a good way, since it's still has the most amazing ribs one can get in this town. The wings are also amazing, even better than what I had last time here.

Very tasty food , especially Holiday mix with ribs, chicken wing and legs . As well very good lamb so if somebody likes meat can be very satisfied from the quality. Unfortunately from organisational point of view restaurant really failing . We booked a table outside for 4 people and table was taken by other people . Restaurant explained to us that they have many people and tried to convince us to seat wherever . In the notebook where they have stored reservations they had note to put us wherever but during booking we booked exact table which we wanted. It is good restaurant if you walk and just want to stop by but if you are planning a dinner in advance it is better to choose restaurant which is better organised.
