Great. They greated us with an informative short video. We saw a variety of jewels with garnet and an artistic installations. There is also a dedicated place where you could look for a garnet stone and if you find one, you can take it with you for free.Free with a valid Prague CoolPass card.

Nice place. Museum staff spoke in detail about the Czech garnet and its features. We got a lot of new interesting information. The pearl of the museum is a collection of Czech pomegranate jewelry. Also here you can purchase various modern Czech garnet jewelry for yourself or as a gift. And it will be a real Czech garnet, and not a fake, which are full around and which are sold to most tourists. In general - an interesting place where attentive and friendly employees work, you can learn something new and purchase a unique souvenir from the Czech Republic.

A small but very interesting museum in the city centre. Here you can even try to find your own garnet between the stones and take it home :) If you ever plan to buy jewelry or any souvenir with the Czech garnet, you should visit this museum first. Because you will also learn about the tricks of many jewelry stores in Prague that abuse tourists.

The museum is very informative and interesting. It’s great to learn something about Bohemian garnet. It’s clean and the jewelry is well-presented. The old jewelry looks amazing :)The information is available in many different languages and the personnel is very friendly and helpful!!The price is fine for the experience you get! I would recommend this museum at any time :)

An interesting museum. But lacks of dimension. The collection is very small and disappointing. The advertising is speaking of a big and unique, but in reality there are stores which have a much more collection of jewelry. The presentation of the extraction of the Granat stone is not so detailed and could offer more details and also physical tools. The price not reflect the exhibition and would not recommend. The few jewels which are exposed is beauty but it looks like someone just threw there.I believe a massive change of the exponent and presentation could produce a bigger impact on visitors.

Absolutely amazing. If you planning to buy REAL Bohemian Czech garnets then go there FIRST! Not only you will see a beautiful exposition of jewelry but at the end of the visit very knowledgeable English speaking storekeeper explained how to recognize real cz garnets from fake and from cheap stones. Amazing comprehensive but simple explanation. She should get a Christmas bonus for her knowledge. 10*s if I could

Karlova Street is famous because of being full of tourist traps. That's why I kept passing for years by the sign Garnet Museum without even thinking of visiting it. Today I did. Wow!The museum is owed by the biggest garnet mining company in Czechia and it seemed to me one of the points of the museum is to educate people to stop them buying stones which not Czech garnets, because most of the shop asistants in Prague simply lie into your face selling different things to you and giving fake certificates to you.You see a movie about mining the stones and making the jewellery. You see a lot of historical and arty objects made of Czech garnets. And the lady at the cash desk was so sweet...Go to the museum before buying any garnets!! Go and admire the garnet arts if not a shopper.Hidden treasure of Karlova Street!

Must visit before deciding to buy any jewellery. The staff there explained us why we should not buy the garnets from the various tourist traps around and recommended the certified jewellery shops. We actually ended up buying jewellery from the shop museum

I enjoyed this museum today. It is fairly small but would be interesting to anyone who enjoys gemstones or garnets in particular or a rock or mineral collecting. You can pick out a small stone to keep is a souvenir and they also had some very nice garnet jewelry that reasonable prices. They know that many of the places locally are not selling real garnet so buyer beware. If you're thinking of buying garnet jewelry I would probably definitely go here. Important note that the entrance to this museum is off Karlova Street and not off Anenska that Google maps shows you. You have to go around the block and enter from the opposite street which is Karlova
