Awesome location and charming, unique building with equally distinct rooms. Perfect place to stay if you only have a few days in Prague - you're in the heart of everything. A few notes - it can get very noisy late at night, since there are several clubs and bars very close by. And the narrow cobblestone corridors are very echoey, even with windows closed. The hotel also has two buildings - one of which is a bit of hike upstairs. The rooms are nice though, with charming, old-school furnishings - and very clean. The staff is very helpful and kind and speaks very good English. The concierge can be a little pushy and it's difficult to discern if her tours/cars/cruises are the best" or if the hotel/her service gets a commission. But that also feels pretty spot-on for a very touristy city. Great choice for a stay!"

This is an excellent small hotel with a location that is impossible to beat. It's located right on Prague's Old Town main square directly across from the Old Town Hall's astronomical clock. Our room was very clean and the hotel staff was friendly. The food and refreshments are likewise excellent.If you're in Prague and want to be right in the middle of things, the Grand Hotel Praha is an excellent choice.

I remember staying here when I was 8 years old, it was such an unforgettable experience. Staying in the princess suite right opposite the most beautiful historical building I’ve ever seen, the astronomical clock. The Christmas markets were some of the best I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to the Vienna and Budapest markets. My dream is to go back and relive it all again!

Very rude security lady at the entrance, literally barking at you when you drink something on the terrace and just want to go to the toilets. Is this like this you welcome people in this country? Amazing

Ridiculous. After paying nearly 4000 CZK (161 EUR) for one night, they asked for city tax 50 CZK. I was not aware of it and had only 40 CZK in my pocket. They still insisted on the missing 10 CZK. Two stars for the view and interior design.

Overpriced hotel to its quality and there is nothing 'Grand' but the location. Old and expensive. This should be in price range of below 50 euros / night but it was over 100.Heat radiators have air inside. Lip lap running water sound coming out from the water circulation and the room temperature is cold.In the bed there was pee protection overlay under the sheet for newborn and old people. Very inconvenient and sweaty structure. Yuck. Blanket quality is poor. Barely reaches across a grown up human being.Shower water was barely warm. Shower holder is shaking and has nothing to do with a height of a grown up adult.No proper view out from the window.No smoking sign on the front door but construction men smoking inside in the entrance area.Breakfast is ok.

The staff were very friendly. They gave me a beautiful room across from the clock tower and our lady of tyn.Breakfast was amazing. You want to get there early because then you can eat slowly and enjoy it all. The coffee is excellent. I loved this place.

We spent two nights at this beautiful hotel — and wished we could have stayed longer!We booked through the hotel’s website, which provides a lot of helpful information. Our room — with a view of the Astronomical Clock and the Old Town Square — was beautiful and very relaxing, with warm wood furniture and features, with beautiful stone tile in the bathroom, and with a very comfortable bed, pillows, and bedding. In the mornings, breakfast inside the hotel in Cafe Mozart was delicious and plentiful. Alice at the front desk was helpful, patient, and very kind. I hope we can return soon!

I would give 4 to 5 stars, but they wanted to move us to a horrible room also we booked a room with view on the astronomical clock.So we spend the first 30 minutes at the reception to insist on the room we booked.

This is a fantastic hotel. Having just returned from 4 nights here, it is in a central and very busy location and the room was just fabulous. We were in a room at the back so never heard any of the noise from all the people in the square, we had 2 rooms as our daughter came too so we were in our own part up some quirky steps. In the rooms you feel like you have stepped back in time with all wooden fittings and furniture, and the beds are so comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful and Lenka on the door is a very , interesting and quirky staff member with so many funny tales to tell. We loved it here , the breakfast with the view was great. Cannot find a single fault, Thankyou Grand Hotel for a fabulous and memorable stay.
