U Modré kachničky | We live our passion, that being the traditional Czech cuisine. We often look back in time for inspiration, when meals were hearty and genuine, prepared with love by housewives who truly knew their way around the kitchen. We like to keep the magic, only adapt it to a modern environment. We work strictly with local meat suppliers and only use prime ingredients. Our meals are healthy but proper at the same time.

We came for our honeymoon trip and had an absolutely fabulous experience. Our last night in the city was spent here for a few hours. Our server was fantastic: knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming. The food was absolutely fantastic and the specials were delicious. We cannot wait to come back on our next visit to Prague.

Was there during lunch time so the restaurant was pretty empty. Ordered the soup and the duck dumpling dish and was more than enough for one person. Really delicious and the waiters were super kind and friendly.

Came in for a late lunch and we were the only table, service was great!! Food was definitely DUCKY and filling, authentic experience. Get the crepe for dessert, comes with table side show

Amazing food, great restaurant and lovely and professional staff. The place looks so authentic and makes u feel you are in a cultured European establishment. We got the soup and Lamb for main and it was soooo good. It was quite pricy though for peague it costed us 2500 crowns for 2. Live piano music was an awesome touch too. Highly recommend

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here. We each ordered the tasting menu and every course was delicious. The duck leg was outstanding; the best we had during our drip. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The live piano music also added to the atmosphere of the restaurant. If you are looking for a fine dining experience in Prague, I would keep this place in mind.

A pushy and very rude waiter was trying to force us to order more food– He once asked us if we would like to drink wine beside our main dish, and when we said no thanks, he got upset and smirked. When we asked for the check, he said it was a very short visit. In the end, he was trying to make us pay tips even though we were unhappy with his behavior. The food quality was good but too pricy and not worth it for this price. There are other places with the same food quality but twice cheaper. Overall, I don’t recommend this place.

Thought this would be a great dining experience but actually not.Reservation/SeatI did reserve a table for two months ago, they confirmed but suddenly postponed my dining time slot just few days ago. When I entered the restaurant on that day, they couldn’t find my booking! What? Besides, I did emphasise this is our honeymoon stay so to request a corner/comfortable seat when I book the table, but they just arranged a table in a narrow corridor! Even the guys came later on without reservation, they got a corner seat with larger space! How come?FoodWe ordered a tasting menu with two glasses of red wind, some of dishes are tasty BUT we both didn’t feel well after the first 3 dishes, throwing up and getting the runs for whole night!ServiceAt the very beginning, we saw the servers did quite nice to other guests (French I guessed), but what they treated us is totally different: 1)the servers helped all the guests to take the jackets except us; 2)when we mentioned that we were not feeling well, they packed up the last dish and throw it with the bill on our table, and knocked the bill impolitely to let us pay! We did pay 10% additional service charge to them at the end because we want to show our respect, and we played our role as guest with proper manner quite well but what we experienced was terrible!We are from Hong Kong and not sure whether they just saw our Asian face so to have bias(just guessing).I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and hope they could have improvement!

I visited Prague 23-28 Dec 2022 with my mum and I initially contacted the restaurant to make a Christmas day reservation a few weeks prior to our visit after reading great reviews on Tripadvisor. When booking I was advised that the Nebovidska branch was fully booked on Christmas day so they offered us a table at their other branch (Michalska) which we accepted. When we arrived at the restaurant on the day of our reservation we were told there was no booking under our name. The two branches had clearly not communicated with each other regarding the booking but luckily they were able to find us a table and it ended up being the perfect Christmas day. The restaurant was cosy and christmassy with an amazing live piano player, the staff were friendly and so attentive, the food was sensational and reasonably priced and the wine was the perfect accompaniment. Overall it was a great atmosphere and I couldn't have picked a better restaurant for xmas day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that appreciates a restaurant that ticks all of the boxes but I would suggest phoning the branch when reserving a table to make sure your booking is acknowledged.

Unbearable Poor Service and Evident Racial Discrimination, Extremely Outraged and Disappointed！！Review: During our trip to Prague, we encountered horrific service and intolerable racial discrimination at this restaurant, which was completely unacceptable. We initially intended to try a meal set costing over a thousand Czech crowns and two beers, only to be told that the set was for one person only, regrettably, there was no such mention on the menu.What's worse, after expressing our intention to order, the server shockingly ignored us and turned away, leaving us to wait awkwardly for half an hour at our table. When another server came to inquire, we told him we were uncertain if our order had been taken. He went to confirm and, to our disbelief, informed us that the previous server hadn't placed our order.The ordeal didn't end there. They forcibly imposed a 10% service charge, leading us to order a la carte meals with a total cost reaching nearly 2000 Czech crowns. I cannot help but question whether our treatment was due to our racial background. This is one of the worst service experiences I've ever had, and I feel extreme anger and disappointment about it. I strongly condemn such behavior and definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I advise other tourists to be cautious when choosing, to avoid similar unpleasant experiences！！！！
