O podniku
Pivnice Na Solnici, restaurace v Brně | Tradiční brněnská ulice, na které historicky sídlil Solný úřad, dostala název Solniční. My jsme odtud odvodili i jméno naší restaurace Na Solnici. Tradice se chceme držet i nadále a proto vybíráme nejlepší české receptury, a to nejen na jídelní lístek, ale i na řemeslné pivo z pivovaru Dalešice.

Great Pub/Restaurant in the center of Brno. Dalešice beer which is very good, good food and reasonable prices. A must for an evening out in Brno.

Very good food! Unfortunately some of the plates were not available when we entered the place in the evening. Maybe there is more choice during lunchtime.

Pinvice Na Solnici is a great place to go for lunch. I have no idea what dinner is like there, but from what I've heard, it may be a little more expensive. However, I got a 3 course lunch and a beer for around 200kc ($8USD) which is almost unbeatable. Your courses include soup, your main course, and a pastry/cake. The first and third courses were good, my main course, fried veal, was incredible. This may not be the first place on my list to return to, but it's great food for a great price so I can see myself returning.

Well as a non meat eater I choose the fried Emmentaler cheese and I was disappointed. They served it as a burger, with a bit of fries. The sauce was with no taste, in general boring... .Maybe they have better meat dishes...Not sure if this is how the things are handled in Brno but the waiter from this place decided he deserves a tip and kept the money without giving the change. Maybe because he had to bring us the menu in English?I prefer to decide if someone deserves a 10 or 20% of the amount I am paying. I found this really arrogant.

Food is on a top restaurant standard with a pub atmosphere (great beer)It's definitely not a place aiming for tourists as they don't have English menu and stuff doesn't care if you understand what are you ordering.The good thing is that you can order blindly what ever from the card and believe me it will be the best example of this meal possible. The cheef here is a star!We used google translate. We had all three starters, tatar, schnitzel and dumplings with meat. Everything was perfect.I will be dreaming about coming back to Brno only to eat at this place

Satisfying food, unsatisfying serviceFull disclosure, we went in on a Saturday early evening (1700ish) with 2 little kids, and we don't speak Czech.The food is the highlight here. There's a decent variety in the menu, and it's all well cooked and flavored. That's where the highlight begins and ends. The server didn't speak English, and as we speak 4 languages between the 2 of us but none are Czech, we endured. What was a big deal is the rudeness for us not being able to speak Czech, dismissive of our questions, and overall demeanor of the server and guy behind the bar. The one shining server here was the female that helped run food and was at least kind enough to ask if we needed anything else (sure, a few more beers that the original server answered 0 questions about). When it came time to pay the guy behind the bar acted as if he were doing me a favor by letting me pay for our meal. So sorry to have pulled him away from watching soccer on his iPad for us to tap out a payment.Overall, the food is good if you can stomach some poor service... Though it's likely fine if you speak Czech

Drunk waiter!!Food and beer was great, but our waiter was drunk and absolutely rude. The waiter didn't like from the beginning that we were foreigners, but we spoke Czech to him. He completely botched our meal order and not only brought us the wrong stuff and insisted we just eat it, but he only rang in 2 out of 3 orders. The bartender was sober and very nice so we were trying just to deal with him instead. At 10:45 or so there was a last call (on a Saturday with a closing time of midnight) and then at 11:00 the guy basically told us to get out of the restaurant. He wanted us to pay for the incorrect food that he brought us, which i of course refused to do and was whistling at us and telling us to go home because he also wants to go home. The sweet bartender was a bit apologetic about his colleague's behavior, but the night ended on a sour note.I would return again as long as that waiter is fired!

Place looks nice. But its tall ceilings and open space makes this place very noisy. Staff is okay, no issues there. But kitchen is smelly even when sitting across the room and the fried scent is not much welcomed. You can smell it on your clothes next day after the visit. Not good. The menu is somehow not finished, at least it looks that way. Food is okay. For the price, is less okay. Pastrami tested very good and fresh. The item does not specify fries on the side and you don't need them with the dish. The meat in the bread is enough. Soups are fine, but could be less thickened. But the taste is fine. Lots of small stuff to find that becomes annoying during the evening. It's not worth mentioning the place is very crowded, that is the good thing for a new pub. The best for last, the beer is very good. Everything from Dalešice you could wish for. Even though I do not prefer dark beer, the semi dark combo was very good. But the best was special of the day, 14° lager beer. Hoping next time for a bit better evening.
