Day out on svatý hostýn... Walking up to the mountain from bystřice pod hostynem town centre or train station... Lovely walk through countryside and forest... On the top of the mountain there are shops with loads of religious stuff, many restaurants that cook very taste food a bit expansive but woth it... It takes around an hour and half to get to the top and around and hour to go back to town... Bystřice pod hostynem is a small lovely town... Loads of shops...

Pilgrimage place with beautiful basilica. This place carries a strong tradition of being humble and come to pray or thanks to God. That's not all, Hostyn is popular for travelers, hikers, bikers... for its natural beauty, calmness and nature. You can drive up by car, take a bus or hike/bike/cross country ski from surrounding hills. Beautiful ceramic Stations of the Christ designed by Dusan Jurkovic.

Great peaceful place for families with children in the midst of Hostyn Hills with rich history dedicated to Virgin Mary with a must see Basilica and Muzeum. Many stands with gifts, food and refreshments.

Surprisingly nice place for me. Despite being an atheist I like this kind of places. There is an extensive Stations of the Cross way in a small valley on top of the Hill and also a lookout tower. The temple itself is nice but you need to read it's history in order to understand why is it build and decarated the way it is.

Nice place - both religiously and as a trip destination. Also surrounding nature is beautifull (despite some bark beetle scars in surrounding forests).
