Great location, friendly staff. Note - cash only. Breakfast was an extra 180 czk and was the only let down. Accommodation great value but do not order a breakfast.

This place is great!. I liked the decor and if I lived in Tabor would spend a lot of time there. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. Come on, go and have a drink and kicked back a bit

A really good bar with a cool bartender who is probably the owner. With a wide range of whiskeys and rum. If you are hungry the pizza there is quite ok too

Zero effort. Cash only. One key for a four bed room, ugly bathroom. Breakfast is for free which is the exact price you would pay anyways.Beautiful city though!

We had a very unpleasant experience here. Booked a room for night with a colleague on a business trip. Came to check-in at 18:30 and the pub was busy - reception is at the bar. On of the owners handled the check-in and asked for cash.My colleague wanted to pay by card, the owner said it's not possible, then we offered Euros, which was rejected too.The owner was very nervous, unpleasant and not professional at all. They had a small verbal exchange. Eventually my colleague went out to pull the cash of the ATM but the owner said to me whilst I was waiting there, that he was not going to give as the room.So when my colleague returned after a while with cash, the owner refused to take it and said he would not accommodate us at all.Very strange and sad attitude towards the customers. And very unprofessional behaviour.

We will recommend Pension Alfa Whisky Pub to all of our friends & family. The rooms are very clean and have a unique, Czech style. The pension is situated in the center near the old square of Tábor. The staff was super, all friendly people and we felt right at home. Even the music was 'výborně'!And you can choose from a VERY wide range of whisky's, so every day was a great new opportunity to drink one of my favourite whisky's, or to try a new one. And there are a lot of other drinks as well, so you don't have to be into whisky to enjoy your stay here... If you ever are looking for a great place to stay in Tábor, stop looking. You won't be disappointed!

Pension placed just in the middle of old town.Rock tavern, clean room and good breakfast.Not very suitable for business travel, perfect for holidays.

Well made cocktails, quality liquor and a very friendly staff. If they only could tone down the amount of branding and ads, remove the cheap empty cans decoration"

This was one of the most romantic places I've ever stayed in, I was in luck. Rock atmosphere, everything in 70s style. Hanging plants, ruffles around beds, antique furniture, authentic Czech art pieces, and a truly welcoming, cultivated and friendly owner, English speaker (that's rare in Czech Republic). The breakfast was simple and very good. The poppy seed cake was unforgettable. My bike was also well-cared of. Thanks to Mr. Martin tourist advise, my trip in Czech Republic turned into a really memorable experience.Not to forget: There is a little Romanian store in the same building (beers, wines and guitars).

Don't expect big luxury, it's simple, but very stylish accommodation. The pub is superb, the service is really good too. The accommodation is comfortable and clean, although the hostel would deserve some upgrade. Recommended.
