The food is ok and traditional. The service was very fast but They added 10% tips to the bill without saying anything, even though we left an extra tips. Maybe it was written somewhere on the menu about but the menu is in Czech and it is not obvious.

If you're looking for a great restaurant in the center of town, I highly recommend this place! Our tour guide actually recommended it to us, and we're so glad they did. A great place to try authentic, traditional Czech food for reasonable prices compared to other tourist hot-spots in the Old Town. There is a spacious basement where most of the seating is. When I went, there weren’t any tourists at all, just locals. As for the food, the mushroom soup was delicious and well seasoned. The chicken was rich and flavorful but I found the potatoes served with it to be bland.

As the others have said, a real genuine pub with great food and drink. I will definitely be coming back here on my return to Prague. I recommend the goulash.

Very nice restaurant/bar. The place is divided in the -ground floor where most of the people were sitting and drinking, and -the “basement” where people were eating and drinking.It is very spacious and has lots of tables, considering both floors.The beer is good and the food as well. We had fried cheese and it was so good. The tartar sauce was really great, very soft but still tasty.Most of the clients looked like locals, which is nice…means the place is very authentic.I give 5 start for the food and the ambience, but 4 starts overall due to the service, that could have been much more friendly.

What a fantastic authentic place this is!Oozing with proper Czech feel.Great beer and amazing local food.We went with the sausage in dark beer, the beef goulash and the baked canonbare.Washed down with local beer.And, very much cheaper than the places 10 mins away in the main square.Highly recommended, great atmosphere.

Outstanding Czech pub! The Pilsner is the best in Prague. The food is classic Czech favourites done really well. The basement is the best place to go in my opinion.
