Art Nouveau restaurant at the edge of the Old town. Amazing decor from the turn of 20th century. Very good traditional cuisine (duck with galettes is really delicious), nice desserts, decent coffee. Impeccable service, prices higher than Prague average given the historicity of the building and exclusive location (count with 15-20 EUR for main and 8 EUR for dessert).

An exquisite art nouveau building and restaurant, wonderful to experience and delightful service and menu to enjoy. Make a memory by coming here! I ordered the omelette with Emmental cheese and mushrooms. No room for dessert although the dessert cart looked amazing!

There's no question the main restaurant (to the right of the main entrance) is absolutely gorgeous. The food is decent on average and the service varies by individual staff members from polite and responsive to cold and expressionless. (And I live in Prague so I understand acceptable service parameters by local standards). This restaurant has quite a wide range of service responses. The visit was a holiday brunch and the restaurant was quite empty when we entered. We were taken to a middle table with chairs. I asked if we could be seated at one of the many empty window or side tables with cushioned seats (due to multiple spine surgeries it is difficult for me to sit in hard chairs for long periods of time so when available I always ask for the cushioned seats). I was told that wasn't possible as the window tables need to be left open so that people passing by outside can see there are tables available. So, they chose to not to honor a paying customer's request to be more comfortable at one of the many available options in the hopes that other potential customers would see empty tables? We spent the duration of our meal watching the empty cushioned seat tables remain empty. There are many other restaurant choices with beautiful interiors in Prague where this would not happen.

Municipal House restaurant made me fall in love with Prague…All staff we met were polite, friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and visually appealing like art works!Dining at the Municipal House is truly a memorable experience, and I really look forward to travelling to Czech and visit the Municipal House restaurant again!

Amazing dining experience. Delicious food. The staff are very attentive. All dishes we had are superb. Great beer selection. The restaurant is very elegant but the prices are affordable. Live piano music is lovely. After a long day stroll around town, this place is a great choice to have a relaxing dinner.I highly recommend to try this restaurant when you are in Prague. It’s just next to the Powder Tower.

We reserved a table on line and received 2 free beers with our meal. I ordered the ribs and they were tender and flavorful. They came with bbq sauce, horseradish and mustard and sautéed peppers. A most enjoyable dish. My wife got the marinaded sausage which tasted like American baloney. We both like our meals. The waitstaff was attentive and quick. We were glad we tried it out.

A highlight: the dinner in original ambiance of the 1920s in Prague. Delicious meals, fresh and home cooked sauces, live piano player with elegance and style. A must for young intellectuals, slow food lovers and those who live against the fast food taste.
