The free guided tour in English was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable. The tour brought you to the cellar, where you can enter only if you’re on guided tour. The whole tour was fascinating and the guide gave us a great overview of some of Prague's history. Come early to get 50% off entrance fee. Guided tour is free. You have to pay small sum of money to take lift to the clock tower, but the view from the top is amazing. Overall worth the money.

The Prague Astronomical Clock is an extraordinary marvel that effortlessly blends history, art, and science. Its intricate design and impressive functionality make it a must-see attraction in Prague. The clock's mechanism, dating back to the 15th century, still operates flawlessly, enchanting visitors with its accurate timekeeping, intricate astronomical displays, and the mesmerizing procession of the Twelve Apostles. Witnessing this historical timepiece in action is truly an awe-inspiring experience. However, due to its immense popularity, the clock area can get quite crowded, so it's best to plan your visit accordingly. Don't miss the chance to marvel at the Prague Astronomical Clock; it's a true gem that embodies the genius of human craftsmanship.

The clock is stunning, you should absolutely not miss visiting it when in Prague.I also loved the atmosphere created by it, even if some might complain that is crowded because a lot of people will gather to see The Walk of the Apostles" I think it just adds to it's charm and makes it a really special event to be there and admire its beauty and sanctity. It's the oldest astronomical clock still in function and you can enjoy viewing it while savouring a local beer in the pubs and restaurants located near by."

Wow, what a cool clock! Everyone hour hundreds of people and I mean hundreds flock to the clock to witness its 600 year old magic strike (quite literally) once again! From all directions people hurry to view Jesus and his followers circle around the windows that open in the clock. The cockerel sounds its voice to announce the resounding bells that ring to notify the Prague citizens of the Hour.

An essential destination. This gorgeous and historically important structure is simply a must do when you visit Prague. The Old Town Hall is located on the busy and diverse main town square. Note that the crowds get heavier near the top of each hour as people gather to view the astronomical clock presentation. Inside, you can purchase a ticket to go to the very top, where you will enjoy an incredible, panoramic view of Prague. Here are a couple of helpful hints. First, spring for the few extra bucks to take the elevator to the very top, skipping the stairs. You will save LOTS of time. Once you arrive at the top, go LEFT on the viewing platform, NOT TO THE RIGHT as the signs indicate. Slowly work your way counter clockwise around the tower and you will be treated to some of the best views you can imagine.

Nice building inside and out and when watching it chine out on the hour, the crowds to gather quite quickly outside to get the best views (not a lot happens on it but it is fun with the little skeleton pulling on the chain, etc). Inside can be busy and waits for obtaining tickets was a few minutes for us so nothing major. The views from the top of the clock tower were very nice to which you can either use the stairs or there is also a small lift too. The underground tour of the site is bookable and runs at certain times depending on what language you want the tour in. We only had to wait an hour for ours but there is plenty to do in the vicinity of you need to go away and come back at a later time.
