Most of the officers working at the counters are very polite and nice, willing to help, clear things up if you are confused about something. Just the capacity seems to be lacking- if you want to get a ticket without an appointment you have to come very early in the morning because they are quickly gone- don't even think about coming in the afternoon because you won't get a number, so I think capacity should be expanded *substantially*. But if you get an appointment in advance which would be my recommendation, process is quick and easy, just don't forget your pin :-)

I understand wiritng a review for this place is pointless. I'ts not like you can decide to go somewhere else... It's certainly not as pointless as my time spent here, though. Honestly, watching the paint dry or literally waiting for Godot to arrive would've been much less mind-numbing exercise.Take this as a warning, so you're prepared ahead of time. Do your breathing exercices, 15 minutes of mindfulness or take an anti-depressant before going here. Otherwise an encounter with this institution is enough to induce a minor anneurism.Let's start with the location. It's right in the middle of nowhere. Sure, cause it's not like people actually need to get here, right? If you have a job, make sure to take at least a full day off if you need to visit this place. Im living in brno since 2011. They have changed the whole framework. Building is new, workers are polite and almost everyone speaks eng. Even though the previous place and some workers back in time were horrific, this is great improvement that needs to be applauded.

Went there a couple of times in the past 2 months - the place is now very far, BUT is much bigger, no need to wait outside (if u want to only - there are benches all around), fast service (I had online appointments both times). There are 3 changing tables there and a moving curtain - probably if one wants/needs to breastfeed. Overall, very pleasant experience, way better than before, the longer trip almost seems worth the better conditions )UPDATED April 2023 photo of the same area for kids and babies. No shield/curtain this time which is a major change for young mothers.

Spacious, better than the former office! A lot of new improvements, but can be better!

Smooth sailing! Went in without appointment for passport number change on my temporary residence permit. Agent was swift and polite. Was in and out in less than an hour. Tip: if you go there without appointment, arrive before 8:00 when the offices open and stand in line. When they open quickly get a number without appointment as they run around fast!

Honestly, the way the whole immigration process works in this country in 2023 is a bad joke. Hundreds of people waiting in a packed room for hours (the whole day even) and I pity them all. Another joke are the revenue stamps - I mean I get it, it's an anti-corruption counter-measure, but really, physical stamps?! Yes, you can buy them directly at the spot from a church charity (not an official service of the bureau), but only on Mondays and Wednesdays, why? Is it a problem to buy enough stamps for the rest of the days in the week? Also, cash only! There's no reason these stamps could not be made digital, where I come from, there's an ATM (operated by the state postal service) where you can purchase them and pay either cash or by card and you only get a receipt that you actually paid. But let's be fair, given this office is literally in the middle of nowhere in Brno and the nearest post office isn't really that close by, a word of thank you to the charity for saving people their precious time by selling the stamps at the spot is definitely in place!The reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because the clerks at the desks are very kind, understanding and super helpful, so do yourself a favour and be kind to them as well and they'll sure help you in return.A few last words of advice before you visit this place:- do make an appointment (I sure did) and you'll save yourself loads of time and your mental health!- do not forget the revenue stamps!

Much better than the previous place at Hněvkovského, in my experience. A lot of people - true, but the space is much bigger now, civilized seating, with distancing, many screens, despite lots of people - no crowded feeling. The long wait is maybe a problem if you come without an appointment, but i had 10:30 booked, at 10:19 i was there, at 10:40 my number rang, and 10:55 i was done. The officer who assisted me, a young friendly guy, patiently explained everything, he also had some plaque you are being assisted by an intercultural worker - project of the EU" - we spoke Czech

If there was an example for purposefully making a location terribly equipped to assist people with the most tedious of random papers that could've just been mailed or picked up elsewhere, it'd be here; 40m out from anywhere, lines that last hours and days waiting time, filled to the brim with people unwilling to help you, especially if you don't speak Czech.

Quite depressing place to stay at. Although the service could've been worse.
