Labská přehrada

A nice piece of nature.A quite, clean river, near the river (lake even, the water flow is extremely slow), there are many picnic spots.The dam has a great view point, and parking was free and accessible.There is a nice zip line activity for children near the bridge.Would definitely recommend to come there with some food and sit near the water on the soft grass.

Impressive piece of engineering art. Still in very good condition however in the middle of dry summer seems to be unnecessary :-) Size of this construction causes some extreme activities like 120m long zip-line @30m height to appear there to make it even more attractive.

Very beautiful place to visit. Amazing views in winter. Walk to the woods....

Elbe Dam was built between 1910 and 1914 mainly to protect from floods. It is the highest level of the system of water works on the Elbe. It captures the majority of snow water in the central part of the Krkonoše Mountains . A small hydroelectric power station has been operating in the dam since 1994.Dam is 41.5 m high, 153,5 m long, 55 m width. Water reservoir - 40 ha area, 1. 2 km length. Water seems to be rather very clean.It is a wonderful hiking area, around 3,5 km from the center of the Spindleruv Mlyn. Views are absolutely beautiful. Be careful when crossing the main road. There is not much pavement with cars speeding up.Parking close to the dam is small but free.

Beautiful easily accessable view of the Elbe Dam.There was also zip-linning available for those interested in a bit more excitement

There is small parking right next to the dam. You can go for short walk across the bridge or for long walk around whole dam.
