Solid beer hall in the basement of the former municipal house. Grand interior, music at dinnertime ( thought the music tends get drowned out by the boisterous crowd that fills the hall at dinnertime) and a solid fare at what is (for central praha) a fairy reasonable range ($$wise). Not sure if I would call this the best beer hall here (and there are many around), but it is one of those pubs that you might want to include in your top 10 if you have more than a week to spend in this city.

you call yourself PIVNICE and charge CZK 106 for a Prazdroj ? Potentially great place with perfect retro concept but targetting the tourist tours and lost tourists only with no interest on locals AND 80s style sulky service with attitude... hope all tourist traps will disappear one day all together for good

We had a disappointing experience tonight. We were seated at the time of our reservation (which required a 500/person deposit with credit toward meal). The restaurant wasn’t very full but despite that, our service was poor. We ordered our drinks and appetizer (traditional Czech ham which ended up being deli sliced ham) and soup (Christmas soup which was good). Then three of us ordered the Christmas Eve traditional fish entree. It was served and we tried it and asked for a sauce (tarter or something else). “Yes, one second”. We also ordered another round of drinks. Drinks came from the bar but no sauce. We asked another server for the sauce and she said we had to talk to the person in a bow tie - we presume the manager or someone who speaks English (which our server did very well). No problem - but our server never came back to the table - all around us. We think he was just overwhelmed with work but it left us disappointed. We left our deposit tickets and didn’t order dessert. After all of our wonderful experiences in this beautiful city, I would definitely suggest other options for dinner. This could be a one-off experience, but it left enough an impression that I’m leaving a negative review which I don’t normally do.

Christmas Eve dinner in Prague.The building and the interior is beautiful and food was good enough at the Municipal House Beer Hall but sadly the service was terrible. The whole 2 hours we were there, the waiters spent 95% of it avoiding us, avoided making eye contact. I had to ask for the menu after 15 minutes waiting, and when they finally took our order, the waiter was so unfriendly and impatient. When he asked if we want drinks and we did not reply within 2 seconds of him asking he gruffly said give you more time"

A great place when in Prague, this art deco building is unique in the world. There is a restaurant, a cafe and a beer cellar , but first of all a concert hall. Don't miss to dine here. The basement is actually serving local food in rustic atmosphere. Prices are high, but it is an exceptional setting .

Horrible experience, we were a group of 11 students in a school trip and no one liked this place.The looking of the restaurant isn't that bad but the service my god, the worse i have witnessed in a long while, mean waiters and really long waiting time, almost one hour, and when the orders arrived some of them were wrong: we got 3 bottles of water instead of 8 and who ordered goulash soup (3 people) received a full goulash and have been charged 200 more crowns than what expected.The pulled pork, goulash and fried chicken were good or mediocre at least but salads, wurstel, and bread were totally inedible.And this when the restaurant was almost empty, only three tables were occupied, and our was the largest, the others had three people.Dodge this place if you want to do a favor to yourself

Its very nice decorated place. That’s what bought our eyes ahaha.Good no the best in the planet but what to expect from touristic place.The stuff are very nice and kind people. And the food arrived very fast.We had grilled sausage and pork ribs as main dishes.

Guys, are you crazy??? 106 Kč for a beer? Plzeň And Kozel for the same price?? Not worthy at all and unfortunately service here is really poor... Not recommended at all
