Náměstí Brumlovka

Nový prostor pro konání trhů a fanatici akcí, bohužel s ním zmizely i všechny zelené záhony, nyní zde vládne beton.

Nice place, where children can have a lot of fun with the water, and the adults can just sit on nice comfy chairs in the sun or in the shadow. It's very close to the street where quite a lot of cars pass, but the fountains cover almost all the sound from the cars :)

Nothing special, yet you can have after lunch coffee there. It is next to high traffic, very noisy road.

Area in front of the Brumlovka which sometimes has food stalls, sometimes nothing. Nice idea and definitely an improvement on the car park that was here previously. The water fountains are great and the deck chairs are a very nice touch. But ... where is the greenery? Where are the trees to shade people on boiling hot 30-degree-plus days? There is a serious design fault here and the architect should be taken to task. Instead of trees we got concrete slabs and paving stones. Cities today need all the shade, green and biodiversity they can get in these days of climate crisis, and the design of this 'square' sadly ignores that. A wasted opportunity.
