The Vysehrad Cemetery is a cemetery on the grounds of Saint Peter and Paul Basilica. It’s a lovingly tended cemetery and contains the graves and tombs of many well known Czech personalities including that of Antonín Dvořák Tomb. There’s a map at the entrance of the cemetery so you can make a beeline for the tomb instead of having to search for it. It’s easy to find anyway, just follow all the tourists.

This cemetery was so cool, the art and time went into creating these tombs is remarkable. It was nice to get to Vysehrad to get away from the crowds at Prague castle.

Need I say it is quiet? Not so crowded and really a quiet getaway, if you feel tired from the crowded main attractions of the city.

Thera are a lot of well-known people buried there. Still, we specifically went to see Milada Horáková's memorial to pay tribute to this lady murdered by communists in 1950.

Very quite and nice place .. Established in 1869 on the grounds of Vyšehrad Castle in Prague, Czech Republic, the Vyšehrad Cemetery (Czech: Vyšehradský hřbitov) is the final resting place of many composers, artists, sculptors, writers, and those from the world of science and politics. The centerpiece of the cemetery is the Slavín tomb designed by Antonín Wiehl, a large and notable tomb located within Vyšehrad cemetery.

The most beautiful cemetery we've been to so far. The sheer number of amazing artworks and sculptures is stunning. Great location on a hill. Amazing surroundings as well.
